I lived north of San Diego as a kid.
Just saw a house listed near our old neighborhood.
$1.8 million for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with just over 1,500 sq ft and not near the beach.
Easy to understand why young people are so frustrated (or moving).
Can't speak for all of the country obviously but the upper Midwest seems to be doing pretty well.
Everything is crowded and while people do (rightfully) grouse about the price of everything, they are spending.
This is 3rd trip here in a few months and flights are sold out,
Jobs number stunk but all I see here in the upper Midwest are help wanted signs
Also - people leaving the workforce en masse despite millions of open jobs.
Total labor mismatch.
We gotta fix that.
