    Everything consumer AI still collapses down to companionship. Everyone hates hearing this. It reeks of male-coded dystopian loneliness. But AI can only deliver on its consumer promises if it can be a good friend. Trusted, warm, intimate. Personality is the holy grail.

    My takeaway from yesterday's QQQ vs. venture discourse is: I don't think the world has reckoned with the fact that the biggest tech companies keep winning. They're widely accessible, cheap to own, and because they're overweight in large cap indices, you basically have to / get

    No one wants to hear this but there already is a breakthrough consumer AI application. It's chat. Character AI and Janitor AI (roleplay sites) both do ~150-200m visits monthly and are in the top 200 sites in the US. I met a chat startup yesterday doing ~10% of Janitor's
