    The obvious conclusion is that this is unsustainable. The more interesting conclusion is that the alternative system is likely an evolution of something that already exists. And I think that something is kids who build distribution on social media early and can more easily

    Only 22% of admitted students submitted SAT scores to Northeastern, significantly inflated its "average" SAT, while MIT and Harvard are test mandatory: uds.northeastern.edu/university-fac… . Northeastern also doesn't require additional essays vs most other schools, encouraging low effort, low quality applicants.
