Studio: Flame-graph Visualization of Profile #3409

Closed

Description

@gramian

This is a feature request for a visualization of a PROFILE (SQL) query in the studio tool via flame-graph.
The idea is to add a tab to the query page which shows a flame-graph of a query. This may mean that a query needs to be wrapped in a PROFILE statement and resend to the server. The server JSON response then needs to be transformed such that the timings and their labels can be used to create a flame-graph.

Various projects used flame-graphs for SQL profiling, so these links maybe useful:

    Implemented with zero dependencies, just CSS. Please @gramian let me know what do you think.

    @lvca This is super cool already!

    • The help bubble next to the checkbox should include OpenCypher to the stated SQL and Gremlin.
    • SELECT FROM (SELECT 1) does not produce a flamegraph
    • It does not work for sqlscript, is this expected?
    • It seems only one level is resolved, for example if one has SELECT ... LET $x = (SELECT ... FROM ...), the query in the LET` is only treated as one block and not as a new level where projection, filtrering, etc is resolved.
