SIBERIA METHANE EMISSIONS DOUBLED IN THE PAST DECADE Emissions in 2020 and 2021, correspond to unprecedented atmospheric growth rates, of more than double those in 2010. Methane emissions in Siberia have increased 5% per year since 2010 due to fires and permafrost melting.
