A guaranteed $2500 CAD a month would go a long way towards solving a lot of my problems.. sigh.

Blink and you might have missed it, mlarkin@ landed vmm/vmd(8) SMP guest support in #OpenBSD -current!
This includes a new "cpus" parameter in vm.conf(5), and '-p' flag for vmctl(8). The default number of virtual guest CPUs is 1, with current maxium of 64.

As with most of the OpenBSD base system utilities, pax/tar(1), gzip(1), as well as most archivers/(de-)compressors in ports have used pledge(2) for many years now.
p7zip has been replaced with 7zip in #OpenBSD ports, carrying forward the pledge(2) support I helped the maintainer Josh work out 10 years ago.
Features like benchmark, hashing/listing archives, extracting to stdout can't write to the filesystem, open a socket or execv.

"7z" is interesting (read: scary), in that it attempts to support every conceivable archive format, many you wouldn't identify as archive.. like filesystems and even ELF binaries.

Every fatal firmware error fix depends on one guy on an IRC channel voluntarily and supportively looking up magic fimware error codes and explaining the implications to me. Bus factor: 1
And for some vendors like Qualcomm there is simply nobody to ask questions to. The Linux ath10k/11k/12k driver maintainer stopped years ago and hasn't been replaced as far as I know.
Vendors should never have been allowed to stop providing public documentation for computers they are selling.

The rtrd(8) program is intended as a scalable distribution layer to deliver data produced by rpki-client(8) to clients such as bgpd(8) in multi-node/multi-vendor IXP and ISP deployments.
