Bio

I'm a serial hobbyist, trying to have as much fun as I can, Some things I find stupid, and I probably will tell you, but I try not to be a dick about it, mostly I do manage that.
Anything I say is just my personal opinion or if it sounds really stupid, probably a joke. Yes I might have opinions that you don't like, and if you don't I'm willing to talk
about it, just be honest and decent and I will strive to do the same.

Anything I post on here is under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 If you want to use my posts for something commercial (LLM training, ad testiment etc) just contact me and I'm sure we could
make something out.

Some things I do like:
- Programming
- Shorthand
- Retrogames
- Indiegames
- Pen and paper puzzles
- Reading

Here a pinned post regarding followers,

I will accept a follow if we have been interacting and you pass the sniff test.

If we haven't interacted, and I don't find much that we have in common in your profile or comments I will most likely not accept.

I'm not here to get "internet famous" I'm here to have some fun, and I'm being cautious for multiple reasons, so think about it before requesting a follow, or you might be surprised why I don't accept the request.

Just 10 more minutes and it's WEEKEND :D I'll enjoy my books, some more rift of the necrodancer, some long walks, I want to do it ALL! :)

representative of KDE (niccolove)

I think he's racist rather than fascist as I've not seen fascist traits

yeah, because being a racist is A-OK :p

Some times apologists and big tenters really confuse me, today someone blocked me because I was arguing for kicking nazis, or showing receipts, because appearantly wanting to boot nazis is.... nazi..

I'm so happy that it's friday today, I just feel chewed up and spit out, not sick, but my mood is all over the place, I slept not great and yeah no, it's annoying that I can't really pin point exactly what is making me feel this way. Hopefully I will manage to get some extra sleep over the weekend, and not stay up until 4 every night playing rhythm games .

My internal tooling page has now reached 8500 lines wow, I didn't expect there to be that much stuff in there already, slowly grows with more stuff. Happy that it's mostly a lot of simple stuff, so it's easy to maintain :)

I'm having a blast with reading some fun books this year, I am in a groove with some comfort reading now, and I have read shorter books on average, so my read numbers are feeling more impressive. I'm still not quite sure what to think about the shorter books though, most of them feels like stories that needed more space to me, like they wanted another 100 pages, maybe the shorter ones just aren't quite for me.

@halfy It seems like our instances are battling, I try to allow the request and yours seem to send a new one, I'm unsure what's going on, maybe @amin has an idea?

I think I have approved the request 3x by now, and am a bit confused. I tried following you to see if that makes it better, but I'm a bit unsure what's going on.

I was out drinking beer with a collegue yesterday, so most of my play-time when I got back home was enjoying some more "Rift of the Necrodancer" I can still play decently well with 3 beers in me, it's just a bit more consequence free than ballsing up a game that demands a bit different of a focus. It's also always just a lot of fun to tap buttons to music.

I also played (carefully) a bit more of "Dungeon Encounters" and I'm still having a lot of fun with the game, it kind of feels like a simplified "Etrian Oddesey" or a third person wizardry (the "old" first person dungeon crawler) my problem with EO is mostly that I'm worrying so much about skill allocation, and worrying that I do something wrong there, it's kind of a thing that usually makes it kind of hard to go back into, because I worry that I forgot what my plan was and what and why I was doing something. it seems like DE alleviates this a bit, on count of being so simplified and minimalistic, and so far at least I'm still having a blast with it.

Still being a bit melancholic the last days and I'm not quite sure why when the weather finally is nice enough that it's good to be outside. Maybe it's just something that comes from me finally getting into the rhythm again after having had it break with my vacation, I don't know. I wish I was better at reading my own feelings so that I knew what to do about things other than grit my teeth and get through.

I've been having a lot of fun playing Dungeon Encounters the last couple of days, it's probably a game that not so many people would enjoy, it's a very minimalistic jrpg-ish dungeon crawler, I've been having a blast with it so far, it's at the same time very simple and very complex, I enjoy the minimalism in it a lot, for some reason it captures my fantasy, and I make my own pictures of things that are basically just 2 char hex numbers on a tile grid maze.

Kind of hit by the autumn ennui of the morning, I really enjoy autumn, but I'm feeling a bit weird, hopefully it will sort itself out again.

Just finished a series of books (7) that I really quite enjoyed (Mandrake Company by Ruby Lionsdrake (Lindsay Buroker)) and I thought I would go on to do a reread of Eclipse the Moon by Jessie Mihalik as a palate cleanser after that, I just remember this book being a really nice comfort read from before, and I really enjoy how a neurodivergent character is treated as just a normal human, and enjoyed for who they are, and not a project to fix. Kind of what I need right now.

One thing about people setting their terminal to use vim shortcut I never understood, how much do they actually edit in their commands..

I've been having a lot of fun reading this year, and already now I'm getting close to what I read in total last year, sure, I've been reading some shorter stuff as well, so probably in page count I'm not that far away from where I normally am though. I've for sure enjoyed reading a lot this year at least.

I was having so much fun playing a bit of Rift of the Necrodancer yesterday, I cleared all the medium ones a couple of weeks ago, and the hards are really hard, but the beat maps are so much fun. I for once managed to keep my time playing down to only one and a half hour, and not go down a hyperfocus hole for that long.

I have found that for internal tooling, since I've set up a basic flask/gunicorn system, it's been my goto to just quickly code up some tool for someone, most of it just an input or two and a button, and then maybe generating a html table, it's maybe not the fastest thing around, but it's such a nice way to just quickly cobble together something to help someone with something.

I'm to help a coworker automate some of their process that takes a long time, and maan, my brain is fried, really an overwhelming amount of steps and things to do.

At least, I think I managed to grab a point where I can start, then at least make one step easier, and maybe when I have done that I will be at a place where I can see a bit more clearly what to grab onto next, it usually helps at least having something done as a start, but man, this is going to be quite an interesting task I think.

And I really want this to be a help, not something that makes them have to do more or work in an uncomfortable way, quite a challenge for little me.
