Research Mini-Grants
Research Grants are Coming! Launching in May 2026!
CSHA Foundation Research Grant awards (up to $500) are designed to support researchers
in examining promising ideas and/or continuing ongoing research projects in
Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD).
Eligibility
Graduate students and early-career investigators conducting research studies in
Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) are eligible to apply.
Applicants must be a CSHA member to apply.
Funds May Be Used For
- Undergraduate and/or graduate research assistant stipends
- Participant incentives
- Clerical assistance
- Research supplies
Proposal Requirements
A complete application will include the following components:
Project Title and Abstract (maximum 300 words)
Summarize the project purpose, rationale, methods, and anticipated impact.
Application Form
(Details will be provided when the program launches.)
Curriculum Vitae or Resume (maximum 2 pages)
Narrative (maximum 5 pages, double-spaced)
- Project Description – Background, rationale, objectives, and methods
- Project Significance and Impact on the Field – Relevance to CSD and anticipated contribution
- Evaluation and Dissemination Plan – How results will be assessed and shared
- Timeline and Likelihood of Success – Major milestones and feasibility plan
- Impact of Grant Support – How funding will enhance project success or applicant growth
Budget (maximum 1 page)
Include a clear, itemized budget with justification.
Travel expenses will not be covered.
