Experimental Electronic Music
Sound arrives warped, bent out of shape, tangled inside broken-beat filaments. Dokkōdō (Y-7-ZERO))) moves through knots of blips and bleeps, a maze of micro-techno sparks, flickering bass currents, and crooked mechanical murmurs.
Across 2025, hundreds of releases surfaced, with December granted space to settle. From that sweep emerged a carefully shaped collection of favorites, each paired with links to Igloo reviews and release pages. Arrangement follows artist names in alphabetical order, while a snapshot of tracks lives on our Soundcloud playlist, joined by random artwork highlights. No crowns, no rankings, no runners-up—only records that resonated.
pray4Manta drops four savage electro chops into the pool and lets the radiant ripples spread widely—tight, coiled movements of machine funk and dancefloor mischief radiating outward in neat concentric rings.
Sonnailles moves from restraint into release, but never fully lets go. It maintains the precision associated with Raster while leaning more into physicality and motion. The influence of rhythm and movement is more present, but still abstracted, never fully resolving into something predictable.
A shadowed current runs beneath this work: ᚠRÁᚠJALLI fuses melody with soot-lined surfaces and sinewy synth rhythms, placing electro at the heart of Bionic Electric Organic.
Empty Halls is a longer meditation, generating a haunting atmosphere that invites the listener to become lost inside its unfolding darkness. In this way, it can also provide peace and comfort in the darkness of wintertime.
In Place of Language is a truly exciting record. In a time where much of electronic music harks back to the past, two trailblazers have combined to produce an EP that is firmly set on the future.
