- What counts as an occurrence or span?
An occurrence is each time an error happens in your application. If the same error occurs 100 times, that counts as 100 occurrences. A span is a performance measurement of a database query, API call, HTTP request, rendered view, ... A single request usually results in multiple spans.
- What if I exceed my monthly limit of occurrences, spans or logs?
We'll email you when you reach 80% of a limit, and again when you reach it. Once a limit is reached, we stop accepting new data of that type until your usage resets or you upgrade your plan.
Errors, performance data and logs each have their own counter, though. Running out of span or log quota never touches your error quota, so new errors keep showing up in Flare and you keep getting notified about them. We never want you to miss a critical error!
- Can I change my plan at any time?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your billing settings. Changes take effect immediately, and we'll prorate the billing accordingly. If you downgrade, we'll help ensure your usage fits within the new limits.
- What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?
Your error and performance data will remain accessible for 30 days after cancellation. After that, we'll delete your data permanently. You can export your error reports before canceling if you need to keep them for your records.
- Do you offer discounts for non-profits or educational institutions?
Yes! We offer special pricing for qualified non-profit organizations and educational institutions. Please contact us with proof of your non-profit or educational status, and we'll set up a discount for you.
- Is there a setup fee or long-term contract required?
No setup fees and no long-term contracts! You can start with our free 10-day trial, and then pay month-to-month or yearly. Yearly plans save you money (equivalent to getting one month free), but you're free to cancel anytime.
- What kind of support do you provide?
All plans include email support from our engineering team. We typically respond within 24 hours, often much faster. You'll get help directly from the people who built Flare, so you can expect detailed, technical answers to your questions.
