Team 2NS1 As first time hackers, what inspired our team was creating a website and a database to help people find their dream cars. We learned GitHub/Git, React and web scrapping (Selenium). We built our project in a GitHub repository and collaborated on it using VSCode. The challenges that we faced were plenty such as figuring out how to web scrap. Initially we used BeautifulSoup but realized that it wasn't compatible with the website we chose, therefore we switched to Selenium to web scrap the data. None of us have experience in web scrapping and struggled with getting the data, but we managed to learn on the go and create a mock database. The major challenge we faced was getting the backend to connect with the front end. The front end was going smoothly, however once we tried to connect the backend, we began to have problems with the API.
