shuffle (cast X), (cast Y), Mask --> cast (shuffle X, Y, Mask) This extends the transform added with 0353c2c. If the shuffle reduces vector length, the transform reduces the width of the cast, so that should be a win for most codegen (if not, it can be inverted).
The crash is caused by incorrect order set by reorderBottomToTop(), which happens when it is reordering a TreeEntry which has a user that has already been reordered earlier. Please see the detailed description in the lit test. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D126099
Semantics was allowing calls to CHARACTER(*) functions, which are odd things -- they can be declared, and passed around, but can never actually be called as such. They must be redeclared with an explicit length that ends up being passed as a hidden argument. So check for these calls and diagnose them, add tests, and clean up some existing tests that were in error and now get caught. Possible TODO for lowering: there were some test cases that used bad calls to assumed-length CHARACTER*(*) functions and validated their implementations. I've removed some, and adjusted another, but the code that somehow implemented these calls may need to be removed and replaced with an assert about bad semantics. …ional to size of CFG. Currently, the maximum number of iterations of the loop for finding the fixpoint of the dataflow analysis is set at 2^16. When things go wrong in an analysis, this can be far too large. This patch changes the limit to be proportional to the size of the CFG, which will generally be far smaller than 2^16 (while still maintaining 2^16 as the absolute limit). Name resolution for subprograms checks whether the name is already present in the enclosing scope as a generic interface, so that the case of a generic with the same name as one of its specifics can be handled. The particular means by which the enclosing scope is searched for the name would resolve the name (bind a symbol to it) as a side effect. This turns out to be the wrong thing to do when the subprogram is going to have its symbol created in another scope to cope with its BIND(C,NAME="name") name, and its Fortran name is already present in the enclosing scope for a subprogram of the same name but without BIND(C,NAME="name"). A very long explanation for a one-line fix, sorry. In short, change the code to look up the name but not resolve it at that point. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D126149
These tests are failing on the PPC64 AIX CI bot, but it's unclear why, as they pass on other CI jobs. I marked them as unsupported on AIX for now while investigating the failure.
The purity or impurity of a call to a generic interface depends on the attributes of the specific procedure or specific binding. Change expression analysis of calls to generic interfaces to replace the symbol in the parse tree with the specific procedure or binding; this ensures that later checking for purity in DO CONCURRENT and other contexts will be accurate. Remove an "XFAIL" from a test that now passes again with this fix. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D126150
A utility predicate in semantics was incorrectly determining that an INTERFACE ASSIGNMENT(=) (or other form of generic) could not have a specific procedure with an unlimited polymorphic second argument. This led to a crash later in expression analysis. Fix, and extend tests. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D126151
User-defined derived type I/O subroutines need to be unique for a given type and operation in any scope, but it is acceptable to have more than one defined I/O subroutine so long as only one of them is visible. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D126152

The scalar-default-character-expression that defines the interoperable name of a function or subroutine (or interface) must have its names resolved within the context of the subprogram, despite its appearance on a function-stmt or a subroutine-stmt. Failure to do so can lead to bogus errors or to incorrect results. The solution is to defer name resolution for function-stmt suffixes (but not entry-stmt suffixes) and for subroutine-stmt language binding specifications to EndSubprogram(). (Their resolution only need to be deferred to the end of the specification part, but it's cleanest to deal with it in EndSubprogram().) Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D126153
The derived type information table construction code had a crash whose root cause was replacing an expression with one of its operands -- the deletion of the LHS of that assignment led to the RHS being invalidated before it could be read. Fix by cloning the RHS. Also update a TODO message to the new "_todo_en_US" message class and add a comment about how it should be resolved. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D126154

This commit resolves a Linux kernel build failure that was revealed by c35ca3a. The patch introduces two new intrinsics, which ultimately changes the intrinsic numbering of other PPC intrinsics. This causes an issue introduced by ff40fb0, as the patch checks for intrinsics with particular values, but the addition of the fnabs/fnabss intrinsics updates the original sqrt/sdiv intrinsic values.
Since the FIR operations are mostly structured, it is only the functions that could contain multiple blocks inside an operation. This changes with OpenMP since OpenMP regions can contain multiple blocks. For unstructured code, the blocks are created in advance and belong to the top-level function. This caused code in OpenMP region to be placed under the function level. In this fix, if the OpenMP region is unstructured then new blocks are created inside it. Note1: This is part of upstreaming from the fir-dev branch of https://github.com/flang-compiler/f18-llvm-project. The code in this patch is a subset of the changes in flang-compiler#1178. This patch teaches the VSETVLI insertion pass to perform a very limited form of partial redundancy elimination. The motivating example comes from the fixed length vectorization of a simple loop such as:
for (unsigned i = 0; i < a_len; i++)
a[i] += b;
Without this change, the core vector loop and preheader is as follows:
.LBB0_3: # %vector.ph
andi a1, a6, -8
addi a4, a0, 16
mv a5, a1
.LBB0_4: # %vector.body
# =>This Inner Loop Header: Depth=1
addi a3, a4, -16
vsetivli zero, 4, e32, m1, ta, mu

vadd.vx v8, v8, a2
vadd.vx v9, v9, a2
vse32.v v8, (a3)
vse32.v v9, (a4)
addi a5, a5, -8
addi a4, a4, 32
bnez a5, .LBB0_4
The key thing to note here is that, the execution of the vsetivli only needs to happen once. Since there's no tail folding happening here, the value of the vector configuration registers are invariant through the loop.
After this patch, we hoist the configuration into the preheader and perform it once.
.LBB0_3: # %vector.ph

The consequence is that NOLINTs cannot suppress diagnostics when they are attached to a token that came from a macro **argument**, rather than elsewhere in the macro expansion. The LLDB website recommends using the CMake caches to build on macOS. Although modules result in a faster build, this configuration tends to break occasionally because it's specific to our platform. I don't expect newcomers to be able to deal with those kind of breakages so don't enable them by default.

…tePluginObject After llvm#68052 this function changed from returning a nullptr with `return {};` to returning Expected and hitting `llvm_unreachable` before it could do so. I gather that we're never supposed to call this function, but on Windows we actually do call this function because `interpreter->CreateScriptedProcessInterface()` returns `ScriptedProcessInterface` not `ScriptedProcessPythonInterface`. Likely because `target_sp->GetDebugger().GetScriptInterpreter()` also does not return a Python related class. TestCases/Misc/Linux/sigaction.cpp fails because dlsym() may call malloc on failure. And then the wrapped malloc appears to access thread local storage using global dynamic accesses, thus calling ___interceptor___tls_get_addr, before REAL(__tls_get_addr) has been set, so we get a crash inside ___interceptor___tls_get_addr. For example, this can happen when looking up __isoc23_scanf which might not exist in some libcs. Fix this by marking the thread local variable accessed inside the debug checks as "initial-exec", which does not require __tls_get_addr. This is probably a better alternative to llvm#83886. This fixes a different crash but is related to llvm#46204. Backtrace: ``` #0 0x0000000000000000 in ?? This is a combination of multiple commits. This is the 1st commit message: DIOp-based DIExpression infrastructure Add the minimal support for DIOp-in-DIExpression, including DIOpFragment and DW_OP_LLVM_poisoned, and the API to differentiate the variants. This is the commit message #2: [Bitcode] Serialization for DIOp-based DIExpression This is the commit message #3: Dwarf generation for DIOp-based DIExpression This is a rather large patch with very minimal testing. It should probably be split up further, and more tests exercising every path are needed. This is the commit message #4: Extend clang option and add clang codegen for DIOp-based DIExpression This is the commit message #5: Support DIOp-based DIExpressions in SROA/mem2reg/instcombine This patch doesn't actually touch those passes, but just the utilities they use, namely createFragmentExpression(), and ConvertDebugDeclareToDebugValue(). This doesn't include assignment tracking, which has some special handling in SROA.cpp and PromoteMemoryToRegister.cpp. We're not planning on using dbg.assign for this (at least for the time being), so I just ignored that for now. This is the commit message #6: [HeterogeneousDwarf] Handle signed integers in DIOpShr and DIOpConvert This commit adds new DI operations to differentiate between a zext/sext DIOpConvert and a ashr/lshr DIOpShr. It isn't possible to use the IR type for this, since it doesn't distinguish between signed and unsigned integers. Fixes SWDEV-466183. This is the commit message #7: [Debugify] Add a flag to make DIOp-based DIExpressions This should be useful for porting debugify-based optimizer tests. Part of SWDEV-462843. This is the commit message #8: Handle new DIOp-DIExpressions in replaceAllDbgUsesWith Fixes part of SWDEV-465029 This is the commit message #9: Handle new DIOp-DIExpressions in salvageDebugInfo This fixes part of SWDEV-465029. This is the commit message #10: [IRGen] Strip addrspacecasts when creating dbg.declares dbg.def does this in DIBuilder, but this commit just adds it to clang to avoid introducing a diff with upstream. This is the commit message #11: Verifier support for DIOp-based DIExpression Effectively a ported and updated version of https://gerrit-git.amd.com/c/lightning/ec/llvm-project/+/974933 Changed to one overload set rather than distinct method names for visitor base so the derived class can opt in to non-exhaustive visiting, rather than it be implied. Added a means to visit the result of the expression when it is otherwise valid (i.e. there is exactly one result). Moved as much of the validation as possible into the base class, leaving the only derived class using the visitor so far to essentially just do bitsize-based type checks when the arguments and/or DataLayout are available. The AsmPrinter support could be ported over to the visitor pattern eventually, and the verifier can be ported over to DIExpr, but these are left as future improvements. This is the commit message #12: Add DIOp AsmPrinter support for Convert/ZExt/SExt Since AsmPrinter currently require values on evaluation stack to be of generic type, we have to use the "legacy" dwarf-4 conversion operations. This can be a little verbose, particularly for sext. It would be technically possible to represent these with three DW_OP_converts (converting generic -> signed FromBits -> signed ToBits -> generic), but using the legacy version seemed simpler. In the future we could use DW_OP_convert to implement these, but in order to do that we would need to ensure that values on the dwarf evaluation stack have non-generic types. For instance, we would need to use use DW_OP_const_type instead of DW_OP_lit for constants. Failing to do so would break binary operators, which require compatible types for their inputs. One note: it seems like it's ambigious whether a DIOpArg that produces a negative signed value with a type smaller than the generic type will have it's higher order bits signed extended or not. For constants, FastISel produces a zero extended value, and non-fast ISel produces a sign extended value (see FastISel.cpp:1263 vs InstrEmitter:740 @ this commit). This can be observed by passing --fast-isel=false to the test file. SExt is correct for both cases, and always creates a fully sign-extended value of the generic type. Fixes SWDEV-467965 This is the commit message #13: Add DIOp-in-DIExpression test for MIR serialization This is the commit message #14: Change -gheterogeneous-dwarf default to diexpression This is the commit message #15: [HeterogeneousDWARF] Various fixes against PSDB Resolve failures in PSDB smoke tests, catch2 tests, and one lit test (caused by upstream work in SROA). Several `FIXME(diexpression-poison)` comments mark places where there is additional work required still, e.g. workarounds or partial fixes to get changes passing PSDB. This is the commit message #16: [HeterogeneousDWARF] Restore -gheterogeneous-dwarf cc1 option This is the commit message #17: [MIR] Replace bespoke DIExpression parser Resolve FIXME by using the LLParser implementation of parseDIExpression from the MIParser. This is the commit message #18: [HetereogeneousDWARF] Revert default to =diexpr Change-Id: I650ec1e9f6f88ef881f79ef3959785439871e0ba

… depobj construct (llvm#114221) A codegen crash is occurring when a depend object was initialized with omp_all_memory in the depobj directive. llvm#114214 The root cause of issue looks to be the improper handling of the dependency list when omp_all_memory was specified. The change introduces the use of OMPTaskDataTy to manage dependencies. The buildDependences function is called to construct the dependency list, and the list is iterated over to emit and store the dependencies. Reduced Test Case : ``` #include <omp.h> int main() { omp_depend_t obj; #pragma omp depobj(obj) depend(inout: omp_all_memory) } ``` ``` #1 0x0000000003de6623 SignalHandler(int) Signals.cpp:0:0 #2 0x00007f8e4a6b990f (/lib64/libpthread.so.0+0x1690f) #3 0x00007f8e4a117d2a raise (/lib64/libc.so.6+0x4ad2a) #4 0x00007f8e4a1193e4 abort (/lib64/libc.so.6+0x4c3e4) #5 0x00007f8e4a10fc69 __assert_fail_base (/lib64/libc.so.6+0x42c69) #6 0x00007f8e4a10fcf1 __assert_fail (/lib64/libc.so.6+0x42cf1) #7 0x0000000004114367 clang::CodeGen::CodeGenFunction::EmitOMPDepobjDirective(clang::OMPDepobjDirective const&) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x4114367) #8 0x00000000040f8fac clang::CodeGen::CodeGenFunction::EmitStmt(clang::Stmt const*, llvm::ArrayRef<clang::Attr const*>) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x40f8fac) #9 0x00000000040ff4fb clang::CodeGen::CodeGenFunction::EmitCompoundStmtWithoutScope(clang::CompoundStmt const&, bool, clang::CodeGen::AggValueSlot) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x40ff4fb) #10 0x00000000041847b2 clang::CodeGen::CodeGenFunction::EmitFunctionBody(clang::Stmt const*) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x41847b2) #11 0x0000000004199e4a clang::CodeGen::CodeGenFunction::GenerateCode(clang::GlobalDecl, llvm::Function*, clang::CodeGen::CGFunctionInfo const&) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x4199e4a) #12 0x00000000041f7b9d clang::CodeGen::CodeGenModule::EmitGlobalFunctionDefinition(clang::GlobalDecl, llvm::GlobalValue*) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x41f7b9d) #13 0x00000000041f16a3 clang::CodeGen::CodeGenModule::EmitGlobalDefinition(clang::GlobalDecl, llvm::GlobalValue*) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x41f16a3) #14 0x00000000041fd954 clang::CodeGen::CodeGenModule::EmitDeferred() (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x41fd954) #15 0x0000000004200277 clang::CodeGen::CodeGenModule::Release() (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x4200277) #16 0x00000000046b6a49 (anonymous namespace)::CodeGeneratorImpl::HandleTranslationUnit(clang::ASTContext&) ModuleBuilder.cpp:0:0 #17 0x00000000046b4cb6 clang::BackendConsumer::HandleTranslationUnit(clang::ASTContext&) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x46b4cb6) #18 0x0000000006204d5c clang::ParseAST(clang::Sema&, bool, bool) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x6204d5c) #19 0x000000000496b278 clang::FrontendAction::Execute() (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x496b278) #20 0x00000000048dd074 clang::CompilerInstance::ExecuteAction(clang::FrontendAction&) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x48dd074) #21 0x0000000004a38092 clang::ExecuteCompilerInvocation(clang::CompilerInstance*) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0x4a38092) #22 0x0000000000fd4e9c cc1_main(llvm::ArrayRef<char const*>, char const*, void*) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0xfd4e9c) #23 0x0000000000fcca73 ExecuteCC1Tool(llvm::SmallVectorImpl<char const*>&, llvm::ToolContext const&) driver.cpp:0:0 #24 0x0000000000fd140c clang_main(int, char**, llvm::ToolContext const&) (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0xfd140c) #25 0x0000000000ee2ef3 main (/opt/cray/pe/cce/18.0.1/cce-clang/x86_64/bin/clang-18+0xee2ef3) #26 0x00007f8e4a10224c __libc_start_main (/lib64/libc.so.6+0x3524c) #27 0x0000000000fcaae9 _start /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/glibc-2.31/csu/../sysdeps/x86_64/start.S:120:0 clang: error: unable to execute command: Aborted ``` --------- Co-authored-by: Chandra Ghale <[email protected]>

Two possible fixes are available: - Update calling conventions to properly support passing `f16` as integers. - Update `useFPRegsForHalfType()` to return `true` so that `f16` are still kept in `f32` registers, as before llvm#110199. This PR implements the first solution to not introduce any more ABI changes as llvm#110199 already did. As of what is the correct ABI for halfs, I don't think there is a correct answer. GCC doesn't support halfs on MIPS, and I couldn't find any information on old MIPS ABI manuals either.

## Description This PR fixes a segmentation fault that occurs when passing options requiring arguments via `-Xopenmp-target=<triple>`. The issue was that the function `Driver::getOffloadArchs` did not properly parse the extracted option, but instead assumed it was valid, leading to a crash when incomplete arguments were provided. ## Backtrace ```sh llvm-project/build/bin/clang++ main.cpp -fopenmp=libomp -fopenmp-targets=powerpc64le-ibm-linux-gnu -Xopenmp-target=powerpc64le-ibm-linux-gnu -o PLEASE submit a bug report to https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/ and include the crash backtrace, preprocessed source, and associated run script. For function declarations (i.e. func op has no entry block), the FunctionOpInterface method `insertArgument` and `eraseArgument` will cause segfault. …reporting (llvm#131756) ### Description This PR resolves a deadlock between AddressSanitizer (ASan) and LeakSanitizer (LSan) that occurs when both sanitizers attempt to acquire locks in conflicting orders across threads. The fix ensures safe lock acquisition ordering by preloading module information before error reporting. --- ### Issue Details **Reproducer** ```cpp // Thread 1: ASan error path int arr[1] = {0}; std::thread t([&]() { arr[1] = 1; // Triggers ASan OOB error }); // Thread 2: LSan check path __lsan_do_leak_check(); ``` **Lock Order Conflict**: - Thread 1 (ASan error reporting): 1. Acquires ASan thread registry lock (B) 1. Attempts to acquire libdl lock (A) via `dl_iterate_phdr` - Thread 2 (LSan leak check): 1. Acquires libdl lock (A) via `dl_iterate_phdr` 1. Attempts to acquire ASan thread registry lock (B) This creates a circular wait condition (A -> B -> A) meeting all four Coffman deadlock criteria. --- ### Fix Strategy The root cause lies in ASan's error reporting path needing `dl_iterate_phdr` (requiring lock A) while already holding its thread registry lock (B). The solution: 1. **Preload Modules Early**: Force module list initialization _before_ acquiring ASan's thread lock 2. **Avoid Nested Locking**: Ensure symbolization (via dl_iterate_phdr) completes before error reporting locks Key code change: ```cpp // Before acquiring ASan's thread registry lock: Symbolizer::GetOrInit()->GetRefreshedListOfModules(); ``` This guarantees module information is cached before lock acquisition, eliminating the need for `dl_iterate_phdr` calls during error reporting. --- ### Testing Added **asan_lsan_deadlock.cpp** test case: - Reproduces deadlock reliably without fix **under idle system conditions** - Uses watchdog thread to detect hangs - Verifies ASan error reports correctly without deadlock **Note**: Due to the inherent non-determinism of thread scheduling and lock acquisition timing, this test may not reliably reproduce the deadlock on busy systems (e.g., during parallel `ninja check-asan` runs). --- ### Impact - Fixes rare but severe deadlocks in mixed ASan+LSan environments - Maintains thread safety guarantees for both sanitizers - No user-visible behavior changes except deadlock elimination --- ### Relevant Buggy Code - Code in ASan's asan_report.cpp ```cpp explicit ScopedInErrorReport(bool fatal = false) : halt_on_error_(fatal || flags()->halt_on_error) { // Acquire lock B asanThreadRegistry().Lock(); } ~ScopedInErrorReport() { ... // Try to acquire lock A under holding lock B via the following path // #4 0x000071a353d83e93 in __GI___dl_iterate_phdr ( // callback=0x5d1a07a39580 <__sanitizer::dl_iterate_phdr_cb(dl_phdr_info*, unsigned long, void*)>, // data=0x6da3510fd3f0) at ./elf/dl-iteratephdr.c:39 // #5 0x00005d1a07a39574 in __sanitizer::ListOfModules::init (this=0x71a353ebc080) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_linux_libcdep.cpp:784 // #6 0x00005d1a07a429e3 in __sanitizer::Symbolizer::RefreshModules (this=0x71a353ebc058) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_symbolizer_libcdep.cpp:188 // #7 __sanitizer::Symbolizer::FindModuleForAddress (this=this@entry=0x71a353ebc058, // address=address@entry=102366378805727) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_symbolizer_libcdep.cpp:214 // #8 0x00005d1a07a4291b in __sanitizer::Symbolizer::SymbolizePC (this=0x71a353ebc058, addr=102366378805727) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_symbolizer_libcdep.cpp:88 // #9 0x00005d1a07a40df7 in __sanitizer::(anonymous namespace)::StackTraceTextPrinter::ProcessAddressFrames ( // this=this@entry=0x6da3510fd520, pc=102366378805727) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_stacktrace_libcdep.cpp:37 // #10 0x00005d1a07a40d27 in __sanitizer::StackTrace::PrintTo (this=this@entry=0x6da3510fd5e8, // output=output@entry=0x6da3510fd588) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_stacktrace_libcdep.cpp:110 // #11 0x00005d1a07a410a1 in __sanitizer::StackTrace::Print (this=0x6da3510fd5e8) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_stacktrace_libcdep.cpp:133 // #12 0x00005d1a0798758d in __asan::ErrorGeneric::Print ( // this=0x5d1a07aa4e08 <__asan::ScopedInErrorReport::current_error_+8>) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/asan/asan_errors.cpp:617 current_error_.Print(); ... } ``` - Code in LSan's lsan_common_linux.cpp ```cpp void LockStuffAndStopTheWorld(StopTheWorldCallback callback, CheckForLeaksParam *argument) { // Acquire lock A dl_iterate_phdr(LockStuffAndStopTheWorldCallback, ¶m); } static int LockStuffAndStopTheWorldCallback(struct dl_phdr_info *info, size_t size, void *data) { // Try to acquire lock B under holding lock A via the following path // #3 0x000055555562b34a in __sanitizer::ThreadRegistry::Lock (this=<optimized out>) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/asan/../sanitizer_common/sanitizer_thread_registry.h:99 // #4 __lsan::LockThreads () at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/asan/asan_thread.cpp:484 // #5 0x0000555555652629 in __lsan::ScopedStopTheWorldLock::ScopedStopTheWorldLock (this=<optimized out>) // at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/lsan/lsan_common.h:164 // #6 __lsan::LockStuffAndStopTheWorldCallback (info=<optimized out>, size=<optimized out>, data=0x0, // data@entry=0x7fffffffd158) at llvm-project/compiler-rt/lib/lsan/lsan_common_linux.cpp:120 ScopedStopTheWorldLock lock; DoStopTheWorldParam *param = reinterpret_cast<DoStopTheWorldParam *>(data); StopTheWorld(param->callback, param->argument); return 1; } ```

…ineType (llvm#130674)" This reverts commit 27c1aa9. See comments on PR. After this change, Clang now asserts like this: clang: ../llvm/include/llvm/IR/Metadata.h:1435: const MDOperand &llvm::MDNode::getOperand(unsigned int) const: Assertion `I < getNumOperands() && "Out of range"' failed. ... #8 0x000055f345c4e4cb clang::CodeGen::CGDebugInfo::getOrCreateInstanceMethodType() #9 0x000055f345c5ba4f clang::CodeGen::CGDebugInfo::EmitFunctionDecl() #10 0x000055f345b52519 clang::CodeGen::CodeGenModule::EmitExternalFunctionDeclaration() This is due to pre-existing jankiness in the way BPF emits extra declarations for debug info, but we should rollback and then fix forward.

… collection (llvm#136795) Fix a [test failure](llvm#136236 (comment)) in llvm#136236, apply a minor renaming of statistics, and remerge. See details below. # Changes in llvm#136236 Currently, `DebuggerStats::ReportStatistics()` calls `Module::GetSymtab(/*can_create=*/false)`, but then the latter calls `SymbolFile::GetSymtab()`. This will load symbols if haven't yet. See stacktrace below. The problem is that `DebuggerStats::ReportStatistics` should be read-only. This is especially important because it reports stats for symtab parsing/indexing time, which could be affected by the reporting itself if it's not read-only. This patch fixes this problem by adding an optional parameter `SymbolFile::GetSymtab(bool can_create = true)` and receiving the `false` value passed down from `Module::GetSymtab(/*can_create=*/false)` when the call is initiated from `DebuggerStats::ReportStatistics()`. --- Notes about the following stacktrace: 1. This can be reproduced. Create a helloworld program on **macOS** with dSYM, add `settings set target.preload-symbols false` to `~/.lldbinit`, do `lldb a.out`, then `statistics dump`. 2. `ObjectFile::GetSymtab` has `llvm::call_once`. So the fact that it called into `ObjectFileMachO::ParseSymtab` means that the symbol table is actually being parsed. ``` (lldb) bt * thread #1, queue = 'com.apple.main-thread', stop reason = step over frame #0: 0x0000000124c4d5a0 LLDB`ObjectFileMachO::ParseSymtab(this=0x0000000111504e40, symtab=0x0000600000a05e00) at ObjectFileMachO.cpp:2259:44 * frame #1: 0x0000000124fc50a0 LLDB`lldb_private::ObjectFile::GetSymtab()::$_0::operator()(this=0x000000016d35c858) const at ObjectFile.cpp:761:9 frame #5: 0x0000000124fc4e68 LLDB`void std::__1::__call_once_proxy[abi:v160006]<std::__1::tuple<lldb_private::ObjectFile::GetSymtab()::$_0&&>>(__vp=0x000000016d35c7f0) at mutex:652:5 frame #6: 0x0000000198afb99c libc++.1.dylib`std::__1::__call_once(unsigned long volatile&, void*, void (*)(void*)) + 196 frame #7: 0x0000000124fc4dd0 LLDB`void std::__1::call_once[abi:v160006]<lldb_private::ObjectFile::GetSymtab()::$_0>(__flag=0x0000600003920080, __func=0x000000016d35c858) at mutex:670:9 frame #8: 0x0000000124fc3cb0 LLDB`void llvm::call_once<lldb_private::ObjectFile::GetSymtab()::$_0>(flag=0x0000600003920080, F=0x000000016d35c858) at Threading.h:88:5 frame #9: 0x0000000124fc2bc4 LLDB`lldb_private::ObjectFile::GetSymtab(this=0x0000000111504e40) at ObjectFile.cpp:755:5 frame #10: 0x0000000124fe0a28 LLDB`lldb_private::SymbolFileCommon::GetSymtab(this=0x0000000104865200) at SymbolFile.cpp:158:39 frame #11: 0x0000000124d8fedc LLDB`lldb_private::Module::GetSymtab(this=0x00000001113041a8, can_create=false) at Module.cpp:1027:21 frame #12: 0x0000000125125bdc LLDB`lldb_private::DebuggerStats::ReportStatistics(debugger=0x000000014284d400, target=0x0000000115808200, options=0x000000014195d6d1) at Statistics.cpp:329:30 frame #13: 0x0000000125672978 LLDB`CommandObjectStatsDump::DoExecute(this=0x000000014195d540, command=0x000000016d35d820, result=0x000000016d35e150) at CommandObjectStats.cpp:144:18 frame #14: 0x0000000124f29b40 LLDB`lldb_private::CommandObjectParsed::Execute(this=0x000000014195d540, args_string="", result=0x000000016d35e150) at CommandObject.cpp:832:9 frame #15: 0x0000000124efbd70 LLDB`lldb_private::CommandInterpreter::HandleCommand(this=0x0000000141b22f30, command_line="statistics dump", lazy_add_to_history=eLazyBoolCalculate, result=0x000000016d35e150, force_repeat_command=false) at CommandInterpreter.cpp:2134:14 frame #16: 0x0000000124f007f4 LLDB`lldb_private::CommandInterpreter::IOHandlerInputComplete(this=0x0000000141b22f30, io_handler=0x00000001419b2aa8, line="statistics dump") at CommandInterpreter.cpp:3251:3 frame #17: 0x0000000124d7b5ec LLDB`lldb_private::IOHandlerEditline::Run(this=0x00000001419b2aa8) at IOHandler.cpp:588:22 frame #18: 0x0000000124d1e8fc LLDB`lldb_private::Debugger::RunIOHandlers(this=0x000000014284d400) at Debugger.cpp:1225:16 frame #19: 0x0000000124f01f74 LLDB`lldb_private::CommandInterpreter::RunCommandInterpreter(this=0x0000000141b22f30, options=0x000000016d35e63c) at CommandInterpreter.cpp:3543:16 frame #20: 0x0000000122840294 LLDB`lldb::SBDebugger::RunCommandInterpreter(this=0x000000016d35ebd8, auto_handle_events=true, spawn_thread=false) at SBDebugger.cpp:1212:42 frame #21: 0x0000000102aa6d28 lldb`Driver::MainLoop(this=0x000000016d35ebb8) at Driver.cpp:621:18 frame #22: 0x0000000102aa75b0 lldb`main(argc=1, argv=0x000000016d35f548) at Driver.cpp:829:26 frame #23: 0x0000000198858274 dyld`start + 2840 ``` # Changes in this PR top of the above Fix a [test failure](llvm#136236 (comment)) in `TestStats.py`. The original version of the added test checks that all modules have symbol count zero when `target.preload-symbols == false`. The test failed on macOS. Due to various reasons, on macOS, symbols can be loaded for dylibs even with that setting, but not for the main module. For now, the fix of the test is to limit the assertion to only the main module. The test now passes on macOS. In the future, when we have a way to control a specific list of plug-ins to be loaded, there may be a configuration that this test can use to assert that all modules have symbol count zero. Apply a minor renaming of statistics, per the [suggestion](llvm#136226 (comment)) in llvm#136226 after merge.

The mcmodel=tiny memory model is only valid on ARM targets. While trying this on X86 compiler throws an internal error along with stack dump. llvm#125641 This patch resolves the issue. Reduced test case: ``` #include <stdio.h> int main( void ) { printf( "Hello, World!\n" ); return 0; } ``` ``` 0. When running the `openmp` testsuite on 32-bit SPARC, several tests `FAIL` apparently randomly, but always with the same kind of error: ``` # error: command failed with exit status: -11 ``` The tests die with `SIGBUS`, as can be seen in `truss` output: ``` 26461/1: Incurred fault #5, FLTACCESS %pc = 0x00010EAC 26461/1: siginfo: SIGBUS BUS_ADRALN addr=0x0013D12C 26461/1: Received signal #10, SIGBUS [default] 26461/1: siginfo: SIGBUS BUS_ADRALN addr=0x0013D12C ``` i.e. the code is trying an unaligned access which cannot work on SPARC, a strict-alignment target which enforces natural alignment on access. This explains the apparent randomness of the failures: if the memory happens to be aligned appropriately, the tests work, but fail if not. A `Debug` build reveals much more: - `__kmp_alloc` currently aligns to `sizeof(void *)`, which isn't enough on strict-alignment targets when the data are accessed as types requiring larger alignment. Therefore, this patch increases `alignment` to `SizeQuant`. - 32-bit Solaris/sparc `libc` guarantees 8-byte alignment from `malloc`, so this patch adjusts `SizeQuant` to match. - There's a `SIGBUS` in ``` __kmpc_fork_teams (loc=0x112f8, argc=0, microtask=0x16cc8 <__omp_offloading_ffbc020a_4b1abe_main_l9_debug__.omp_outlined>) at openmp/runtime/src/kmp_csupport.cpp:573 573 *(kmp_int64 *)(&this_thr->th.th_teams_size) = 0L; ``` Casting to a pointer to a type requiring 64-bit alignment when that isn't guaranteed is wrong. Instead, this patch uses `memset` instead. - There's another `SIGBUS` in ``` 0xfef8cb9c in __kmp_taskloop_recur (loc=0x10cb8, gtid=0, task=0x23cd00, lb=0x23cd18, ub=0x23cd20, st=1, ub_glob=499, num_tasks=100, grainsize=5, extras=0, last_chunk=0, tc=500, num_t_min=20, codeptr_ra=0xfef8dbc8 <__kmpc_taskloop(ident_t*, int, kmp_task_t*, int, kmp_uint64*, kmp_uint64*, kmp_int64, int, int, kmp_uint64, void*)+240>, task_dup=0x0) at openmp/runtime/src/kmp_tasking.cpp:5147 5147 p->st = st; ``` `p->st` doesn't currently guarantee the 8-byte alignment required by `kmp_int64 st`. `p` is set in ``` __taskloop_params_t *p = (__taskloop_params_t *)new_task->shareds; ``` but `shareds_offset` is currently aligned to `sizeof(void *)` only. Increasing it to `sizeof(kmp_uint64)` to match its use fixes the `SIGBUS`. With these fixes I get clean `openmp` test results on 32-bit SPARC (both Solaris and Linux), with one unrelated exception. Tested on `sparc-sun-solaris2.11`, `sparcv9-sun-solaris2.11`, `sparc-unknown-linux-gnu`, `sparc64-unknown-linux-gnu`, `i386-pc-solaris2.11`, `amd64-pc-solaris2.11`, `i686-pc-linux-gnu`, and `x86_64-pc-linux-gnu`.

The function already exposes a work list to avoid deep recursion, this commit starts utilizing it in a helper that could also lead to a deep recursion. We have observed this crash on `clang/test/C/C99/n590.c` with our internal builds that enable aggressive optimizations and hit the limit earlier than default release builds of Clang. See the added test for an example with a deeper recursion that used to crash in upstream Clang before this change with the following stack trace: ``` #0 llvm::sys::PrintStackTrace(llvm::raw_ostream&, int) /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/llvm/lib/Support/Unix/Signals.inc:804:13 #1 llvm::sys::RunSignalHandlers() /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/llvm/lib/Support/Signals.cpp:106:18 #2 SignalHandler(int, siginfo_t*, void*) /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/llvm/lib/Support/Unix/Signals.inc:0:3 #3 (/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6+0x3fdf0) #4 AnalyzeImplicitConversions(clang::Sema&, clang::Expr*, clang::SourceLocation, bool) /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12772:0 #5 CheckCommaOperand /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:0:3 #6 AnalyzeImplicitConversions /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12644:7 #7 AnalyzeImplicitConversions(clang::Sema&, clang::Expr*, clang::SourceLocation, bool) /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12776:5 #8 CheckCommaOperand /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:0:3 #9 AnalyzeImplicitConversions /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12644:7 #10 AnalyzeImplicitConversions(clang::Sema&, clang::Expr*, clang::SourceLocation, bool) /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12776:5 #11 CheckCommaOperand /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:0:3 #12 AnalyzeImplicitConversions /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12644:7 #13 AnalyzeImplicitConversions(clang::Sema&, clang::Expr*, clang::SourceLocation, bool) /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12776:5 #14 CheckCommaOperand /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:0:3 #15 AnalyzeImplicitConversions /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12644:7 #16 AnalyzeImplicitConversions(clang::Sema&, clang::Expr*, clang::SourceLocation, bool) /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12776:5 #17 CheckCommaOperand /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:0:3 #18 AnalyzeImplicitConversions /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12644:7 #19 AnalyzeImplicitConversions(clang::Sema&, clang::Expr*, clang::SourceLocation, bool) /usr/local/google/home/ibiryukov/code/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/SemaChecking.cpp:12776:5 ... 700+ more stack frames. ```

…erver (llvm#148774) Summary: There was a deadlock was introduced by [PR llvm#146441](llvm#146441) which changed `CurrentThreadIsPrivateStateThread()` to `CurrentThreadPosesAsPrivateStateThread()`. This change caused the execution path in [`ExecutionContextRef::SetTargetPtr()`](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/10b5558b61baab59c7d3dff37ffdf0861c0cc67a/lldb/source/Target/ExecutionContext.cpp#L513) to now enter a code block that was previously skipped, triggering [`GetSelectedFrame()`](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/10b5558b61baab59c7d3dff37ffdf0861c0cc67a/lldb/source/Target/ExecutionContext.cpp#L522) which leads to a deadlock. Thread 1 gets m_modules_mutex in [`ModuleList::AppendImpl`](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/96148f92146e5211685246722664e51ec730e7ba/lldb/source/Core/ModuleList.cpp#L218), Thread 3 gets m_language_runtimes_mutex in [`GetLanguageRuntime`](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/96148f92146e5211685246722664e51ec730e7ba/lldb/source/Target/Process.cpp#L1501), but then Thread 1 waits for m_language_runtimes_mutex in [`GetLanguageRuntime`](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/96148f92146e5211685246722664e51ec730e7ba/lldb/source/Target/Process.cpp#L1501) while Thread 3 waits for m_modules_mutex in [`ScanForGNUstepObjCLibraryCandidate`](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/96148f92146e5211685246722664e51ec730e7ba/lldb/source/Plugins/LanguageRuntime/ObjC/GNUstepObjCRuntime/GNUstepObjCRuntime.cpp#L57). This fixes the deadlock by adding a scoped block around the mutex lock before the call to the notifier, and moved the notifier call outside of the mutex-guarded section. The notifier call [`NotifyModuleAdded`](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/96148f92146e5211685246722664e51ec730e7ba/lldb/source/Target/Target.cpp#L1810) should be thread-safe, since the module should be added to the `ModuleList` before the mutex is released, and the notifier doesn't modify the module list further, and the call is operates on local state and the `Target` instance. ### Deadlocked Thread backtraces: ``` * thread #3, name = 'dbg.evt-handler', stop reason = signal SIGSTOP * frame #0: 0x00007f2f1e2973dc libc.so.6`futex_wait(private=0, expected=2, futex_word=0x0000563786bd5f40) at futex-internal.h:146:13 /*... a bunch of mutex related bt ... */ liblldb.so.21.0git`std::lock_guard<std::recursive_mutex>::lock_guard(this=0x00007f2f0f1927b0, __m=0x0000563786bd5f40) at std_mutex.h:229:19 frame #8: 0x00007f2f27946eb7 liblldb.so.21.0git`ScanForGNUstepObjCLibraryCandidate(modules=0x0000563786bd5f28, TT=0x0000563786bd5eb8) at GNUstepObjCRuntime.cpp:60:41 frame #9: 0x00007f2f27946c80 liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::GNUstepObjCRuntime::CreateInstance(process=0x0000563785e1d360, language=eLanguageTypeObjC) at GNUstepObjCRuntime.cpp:87:8 frame #10: 0x00007f2f2746fca5 liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::LanguageRuntime::FindPlugin(process=0x0000563785e1d360, language=eLanguageTypeObjC) at LanguageRuntime.cpp:210:36 frame #11: 0x00007f2f2742c9e3 liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::Process::GetLanguageRuntime(this=0x0000563785e1d360, language=eLanguageTypeObjC) at Process.cpp:1516:9 ... frame #21: 0x00007f2f2750b5cc liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::Thread::GetSelectedFrame(this=0x0000563785e064d0, select_most_relevant=DoNoSelectMostRelevantFrame) at Thread.cpp:274:48 frame #22: 0x00007f2f273f9957 liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::ExecutionContextRef::SetTargetPtr(this=0x00007f2f0f193778, target=0x0000563786bd5be0, adopt_selected=true) at ExecutionContext.cpp:525:32 frame #23: 0x00007f2f273f9714 liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::ExecutionContextRef::ExecutionContextRef(this=0x00007f2f0f193778, target=0x0000563786bd5be0, adopt_selected=true) at ExecutionContext.cpp:413:3 frame #24: 0x00007f2f270e80af liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::Debugger::GetSelectedExecutionContext(this=0x0000563785d83bc0) at Debugger.cpp:1225:23 frame #25: 0x00007f2f271bb7fd liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::Statusline::Redraw(this=0x0000563785d83f30, update=true) at Statusline.cpp:136:41 ... * thread #1, name = 'lldb', stop reason = signal SIGSTOP * frame #0: 0x00007f2f1e2973dc libc.so.6`futex_wait(private=0, expected=2, futex_word=0x0000563785e1dd98) at futex-internal.h:146:13 /*... a bunch of mutex related bt ... */ liblldb.so.21.0git`std::lock_guard<std::recursive_mutex>::lock_guard(this=0x00007ffe62be0488, __m=0x0000563785e1dd98) at std_mutex.h:229:19 frame #8: 0x00007f2f2742c8d1 liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::Process::GetLanguageRuntime(this=0x0000563785e1d360, language=eLanguageTypeC_plus_plus) at Process.cpp:1510:41 frame #9: 0x00007f2f2743c46f liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::Process::ModulesDidLoad(this=0x0000563785e1d360, module_list=0x00007ffe62be06a0) at Process.cpp:6082:36 ... frame #13: 0x00007f2f2715cf03 liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::ModuleList::AppendImpl(this=0x0000563786bd5f28, module_sp=ptr = 0x563785cec560, use_notifier=true) at ModuleList.cpp:246:19 frame #14: 0x00007f2f2715cf4c liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::ModuleList::Append(this=0x0000563786bd5f28, module_sp=ptr = 0x563785cec560, notify=true) at ModuleList.cpp:251:3 ... frame #19: 0x00007f2f274349b3 liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::Process::ConnectRemote(this=0x0000563785e1d360, remote_url=(Data = "connect://localhost:1234", Length = 24)) at Process.cpp:3250:9 frame #20: 0x00007f2f27411e0e liblldb.so.21.0git`lldb_private::Platform::DoConnectProcess(this=0x0000563785c59990, connect_url=(Data = "connect://localhost:1234", Length = 24), plugin_name=(Data = "gdb-remote", Length = 10), debugger=0x0000563785d83bc0, stream=0x00007ffe62be3128, target=0x0000563786bd5be0, error=0x00007ffe62be1ca0) at Platform.cpp:1926:23 ``` ## Test Plan: Built a hello world a.out Run server in one terminal: ``` ~/llvm/build/Debug/bin/lldb-server g :1234 a.out ``` Run client in another terminal ``` ~/llvm/build/Debug/bin/lldb -o "gdb-remote 1234" -o "b hello.cc:3" ``` Before: Client hangs indefinitely ``` ~/llvm/build/Debug/bin/lldb -o "gdb-remote 1234" -o "b main" (lldb) gdb-remote 1234 ^C^C ``` After: ``` ~/llvm/build/Debug/bin/lldb -o "gdb-remote 1234" -o "b hello.cc:3" (lldb) gdb-remote 1234 Process 837068 stopped * thread #1, name = 'a.out', stop reason = signal SIGSTOP frame #0: 0x00007ffff7fe4a60 ld-linux-x86-64.so.2`_start: -> 0x7ffff7fe4a60 <+0>: movq %rsp, %rdi 0x7ffff7fe4a63 <+3>: callq 0x7ffff7fe5780 ; A recent change adding a new sanitizer kind (via Sanitizers.def) was reverted in c74fa20 ("Revert "[Clang][CodeGen] Introduce the AllocToken SanitizerKind" (llvm#162413)"). clang/lib/Serialization/ASTReader.cpp:10171:15 in clang::ASTReader::ReadString(llvm::SmallVectorImpl<unsigned long> const&, unsigned int&) ``` The reason is this particular RUN line: ``` // RUN: env CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FORMAT=json CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FILTERING=direct-per-file CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FILE=%t.txt %clang -fsyntax-only -I %S/Inputs/print-header-json -isystem %S/Inputs/print-header-json/system -fmodules -fimplicit-module-maps -fmodules-cache-path=%t %s -o /dev/null ``` which was added in 8df194f ("[Clang] Support includes translated to module imports in -header-include-filtering=direct-per-file (llvm#156756)"). The problem is caused by an incremental build reusing stale cached module files (.pcm) that are no longer binary-compatible with the updated compiler. Adding a new sanitizer option altered the implicit binary layout of the serialized LangOptions data structure. The build + test system is oblivious to such changes. When the new compiler attempted to read the old module file (from the previous test invocation), it misinterpreted the data due to the layout mismatch, resulting in a heap-buffer-overflow. Unfortunately Clang's PCM format does not encode nor detect version mismatches here; a more graceful failure mode would be preferable. For now, fix the test to be more robust with incremental build + test.

…am (llvm#167724) This got exposed by `09262656f32ab3f2e1d82e5342ba37eecac52522`. The underlying stream of `m_os` is referenced by the `TextDiagnostic` member of `TextDiagnosticPrinter`. It got turned into a `llvm::formatted_raw_ostream` in the commit above. When `~TextDiagnosticPrinter` (and thus `~TextDiagnostic`) is invoked, we now call `~formatted_raw_ostream`, which tries to access the underlying stream. But `m_os` was already deleted because it is earlier in the order of destruction in `TextDiagnosticPrinter`. Move the `m_os` member before the `TextDiagnosticPrinter` to avoid a use-after-free. Drive-by: * Also move the `m_output` member which the `m_os` holds a reference to. The fact it's a reference indicates the expectation is most likely that the string outlives the stream. The ASAN macOS bot is currently failing with this: ``` 08:15:39 ================================================================= 08:15:39 ==61103==ERROR: AddressSanitizer: heap-use-after-free on address 0x60600012cf40 at pc 0x00012140d304 bp 0x00016eecc850 sp 0x00016eecc848 08:15:39 READ of size 8 at 0x60600012cf40 thread T0 08:15:39 #0 0x00012140d300 in llvm::formatted_raw_ostream::releaseStream() FormattedStream.h:205 08:15:39 #1 0x00012140d3a4 in llvm::formatted_raw_ostream::~formatted_raw_ostream() FormattedStream.h:145 08:15:39 #2 0x00012604abf8 in clang::TextDiagnostic::~TextDiagnostic() TextDiagnostic.cpp:721 08:15:39 #3 0x00012605dc80 in clang::TextDiagnosticPrinter::~TextDiagnosticPrinter() TextDiagnosticPrinter.cpp:30 08:15:39 #4 0x00012605dd5c in clang::TextDiagnosticPrinter::~TextDiagnosticPrinter() TextDiagnosticPrinter.cpp:27 08:15:39 #5 0x0001231fb210 in (anonymous namespace)::StoringDiagnosticConsumer::~StoringDiagnosticConsumer() ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:47 08:15:39 #6 0x0001231fb3bc in (anonymous namespace)::StoringDiagnosticConsumer::~StoringDiagnosticConsumer() ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:47 08:15:39 #7 0x000129aa9d70 in clang::DiagnosticsEngine::~DiagnosticsEngine() Diagnostic.cpp:91 08:15:39 #8 0x0001230436b8 in llvm::RefCountedBase<clang::DiagnosticsEngine>::Release() const IntrusiveRefCntPtr.h:103 08:15:39 #9 0x0001231fe6c8 in (anonymous namespace)::ClangModulesDeclVendorImpl::~ClangModulesDeclVendorImpl() ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:93 08:15:39 #10 0x0001231fe858 in (anonymous namespace)::ClangModulesDeclVendorImpl::~ClangModulesDeclVendorImpl() ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:93 ... 08:15:39 08:15:39 0x60600012cf40 is located 32 bytes inside of 56-byte region [0x60600012cf20,0x60600012cf58) 08:15:39 freed by thread T0 here: 08:15:39 #0 0x0001018abb88 in _ZdlPv+0x74 (libclang_rt.asan_osx_dynamic.dylib:arm64e+0x4bb88) 08:15:39 #1 0x0001231fb1c0 in (anonymous namespace)::StoringDiagnosticConsumer::~StoringDiagnosticConsumer() ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:47 08:15:39 #2 0x0001231fb3bc in (anonymous namespace)::StoringDiagnosticConsumer::~StoringDiagnosticConsumer() ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:47 08:15:39 #3 0x000129aa9d70 in clang::DiagnosticsEngine::~DiagnosticsEngine() Diagnostic.cpp:91 08:15:39 #4 0x0001230436b8 in llvm::RefCountedBase<clang::DiagnosticsEngine>::Release() const IntrusiveRefCntPtr.h:103 08:15:39 #5 0x0001231fe6c8 in (anonymous namespace)::ClangModulesDeclVendorImpl::~ClangModulesDeclVendorImpl() ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:93 08:15:39 #6 0x0001231fe858 in (anonymous namespace)::ClangModulesDeclVendorImpl::~ClangModulesDeclVendorImpl() ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:93 ... 08:15:39 08:15:39 previously allocated by thread T0 here: 08:15:39 #0 0x0001018ab760 in _Znwm+0x74 (libclang_rt.asan_osx_dynamic.dylib:arm64e+0x4b760) 08:15:39 #1 0x0001231f8dec in lldb_private::ClangModulesDeclVendor::Create(lldb_private::Target&) ClangModulesDeclVendor.cpp:732 08:15:39 #2 0x00012320af58 in lldb_private::ClangPersistentVariables::GetClangModulesDeclVendor() ClangPersistentVariables.cpp:124 08:15:39 #3 0x0001232111f0 in lldb_private::ClangUserExpression::PrepareForParsing(lldb_private::DiagnosticManager&, lldb_private::ExecutionContext&, bool) ClangUserExpression.cpp:536 08:15:39 #4 0x000123213790 in lldb_private::ClangUserExpression::Parse(lldb_private::DiagnosticManager&, lldb_private::ExecutionContext&, lldb_private::ExecutionPolicy, bool, bool) ClangUserExpression.cpp:647 08:15:39 #5 0x00012032b258 in lldb_private::UserExpression::Evaluate(lldb_private::ExecutionContext&, lldb_private::EvaluateExpressionOptions const&, llvm::StringRef, llvm::StringRef, std::__1::shared_ptr<lldb_private::ValueObject>&, std::__1::basic_string<char, std::__1::char_traits<char>, std::__1::allocator<char>>*, lldb_private::ValueObject*) UserExpression.cpp:280 08:15:39 #6 0x000120724010 in lldb_private::Target::EvaluateExpression(llvm::StringRef, lldb_private::ExecutionContextScope*, std::__1::shared_ptr<lldb_private::ValueObject>&, lldb_private::EvaluateExpressionOptions const&, std::__1::basic_string<char, std::__1::char_traits<char>, std::__1::allocator<char>>*, lldb_private::ValueObject*) Target.cpp:2905 08:15:39 #7 0x00011fc7bde0 in lldb::SBTarget::EvaluateExpression(char const*, lldb::SBExpressionOptions const&) SBTarget.cpp:2305 08:15:39 ==61103==ABORTING ... ```
