Hooking up my blogroll to Inoreader

Blog post about hooking my blogroll OPML subscription list up to Inoreader.

Note: The extension has to be .xml, because the site that's hosting it renders OPML files as html. I can work around that if necessary, but it would be nice to have .xml accepted along with .opml.

Looks like you have to go under Automate > OPML Subscriptions then you can subscribe there.

Your linkblog has too many subscriptions for me to use with a free account, as it's capped at 150 feeds.

Yeah, it worked. Just said there were too many feeds, so I grabbed mine from feedland and tried it and everything worked as expected.

I tried again and it still doesn't work for me.

Could you paste the URL you used in a reply?

Okay and if you don't mind, I'm trying to figure out what's going on -- what happens, exactly, when you tried to subscribe to this URL:

It accepts your feed, but next to the item it's a red dot and when I hover it says there are too many feeds.

That looks like what you get when you enter it into the normal add feed form. You have to go to the specific one for OPML feeds.

It's under Automate > OPML Subscriptions then you can subscribe there.

And that settles the problem. Thanks Andrew. My fault for not saying where I went to subscribe.

BTW, this is a first -- I used ChatGPT and it gave me bad advice. ;-)
