These rules must be followed at all time. Failure to abide by these rules or listen to staff may result in being removed from the event.

  1. Please be civil and respectful to all people.
  2. Please do not use inappropriate language/send inappropriate picture, gifs, videos, etc.
  3. Please do not send inappropriate links or anything harmful.
  4. No NSFW or obscene content.
  5. Any harassment or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated
  6. No spam or self-promotion (server invites, advertisements, etc) without permission from a staff member. This includes DMing fellow hackers.
  7. Please do not spam the chat or voice channels.
  8. Please try to send messages in the correct channels.
  9. Please cooperate with and abide by whatever staff or admins are telling you.
  10. Please cooperate with and abide by the rules.
  11. Please adhere to the submission rules posted on the Devpost and in the #submission-faq channel
  12. If something/someone is bothering you, please report it immediately to staff, admin, as well as the MLH Coach.
  13. If you see something against the rules or something that makes you feel unsafe, let staff know. We want this server to be a welcoming space!
  14. Abide by the MLH Code of Conduct 
  15. We don't allow you to submit your project to other hackathons.
  16. We don’t allow submitting a project that includes work done outside of the hacking period.
  17. You can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in your projects. Make sure to document any external code usages in your submission and clearly distinguish your contributions.
  18. The max team size is 4 people. Each team member must have a Devpost account and be listed as a contributor on the project submission to be eligible for prizes.
  19. Each team is only allowed to submit 1 project.
