Attitudes

Some days can be hard as a young mother.  (This is back in 1981.)

I must say that Mindy is so very patient and sweet with her 2 babies.  Such a good mommy!

I am looking forward to our moms' Bible study this fall.  My friend Sarah and I are thinking of doing the study called "Lord, Change My Attitude".  Moms can struggle a lot with negative attitudes, as can any of us!  I know I sure can!

I ordered the study "Downpour" that I would like to study on my own!
Drench me, Lord!  Renew me!

"He will come to us as the showers,
as the spring rains that water the earth."  Hosea 6:3

Speaking of being "drenched", on Mindy's last day here, we took the girls to the waterpark.

Tenley wasn't having it.

She preferred to go to the playground!

Take me back to the waterpark, please.

We tried the water park again.

Tenley never really super enjoyed it.  Kaia did though!

We stopped for some ice-cream!

The next day, the kids went back to Colorado.   That left me sad.

Boo-hoo!

Tenley left some fingerprints behind.  Love it!

I took a few days to clean it as it brought me good memories.Image

What kind of IMPRINT do we leave behind when we are with others.  Do we leave a sour note?  A negative attitude?  Help me, Father, to not add to anyone's burden.  Help me to bring encouragement.  To comfort others.  To bring joy and laughter.  To lift the load of the hurting and not add to their burden by my joylessness or negativity.  What about with our children?

“Imprint these words of Mine on your hearts and minds, bind them as a sign on your hands, and let them be a symbol on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

Deuteronomy 11:18-19
