stinson photography

our good friend, chris stinson took these pics of mccoy when he was a week old. he is so talented and lots of fun to work with, i mean chris that is. to see more of his work...check his blog out!

i was obsessed with these orange polka dot socks for the first month...now mccoy gets too hot with them on...i'm kind of sad. oh well, fall's right around the corner and that means it's sock time again!

play day

last week, burt went out of town for one night, only one night...but i felt like it was forever. mccoy was such a good little man. i had to take some pictures for burt of mccoy's accomplishments that day. he loves his bouncer with his woodland friends. he's actually starting to hit them now.
Image

he's working on his neck muscles as brutus hangs out. our oldest pug, brutus, lost his hearing recently, but he might be the lucky one since he doesn't have to hear mccoy scream (which is not very often--thank goodness!) titus, our younger pug looks at mccoy like he's crazy. titus says...are you serious, it can't be that bad. i mean, they love you more than me now!

old man pants

These shorts are so funny on him...i bought them on sale thinking they were 0-3 months, but they are really 3-6, which is good for us since he can wear them longer...but for now, they look like some grandpa's pants!

mccoy emerson's christening...8.2.2009

the christening was at st. paul's episcopal church in fayetteville...it was a beautiful service, and mccoy did absolutely wonderful. he didn't even cry when the priest poured the water on his head...burt and i have really enjoyed the christening process and especially the people at st. paul's. they made us feel extremely welcome.
Image

Image afterwards, we had a fabulous brunch at savor...that was our first time there, and the food was excellent...definitely heading back there sometime. it was also nice to have all the family together. this is the first family picture in 5 years since our wedding...thank goodness for mccoy.

house calls

my mom came to visit and help me around the house...actually, she held mccoy, while i did stuff around the house. that was so nice, just getting to straighten up...i think i took a shower then too! she loves holding him on her chest so their hearts are close together :)
Image
Image auntie b came another day to hold him, too. we got out of the house that day...it was nice to get out and about. he actually opened his eyes for her.

bassinet modifications

this bassinet has been in our family for three generations. my mother slept in it. i slept in it, and mccoy was going to sleep in it. unfortunately, he was having none of that. the first few days, burt and i were up all night (which is to be expected) only because mccoy didn't like to sleep in it since it was so open. Therefore, we went to target when he was a week old. burt stayed in the car with mccoy, while i ran in to buy anything that would allow us to sleep (I can't tell you how many things i ran into with the shopping cart once i was inside)
Image

this is what we ended up with...

Image notice he's sleeping!!!

boy oh boy mccoy

mccoy's first "sponge" bath...he wasn't so sure about this.
Image

this towel is too cute since it says he loves his mommy!

Image

Image he's our one armed bandit...no matter how many people told us to swaddle him tight, he was not having it...since day one, mccoy has to have his right arm out!

Image Our puppies have been doing great with mccoy...although, now titus wants to sit on him.
