the red umbrella
one among many that day
ripped away by wind

Sun Blind

blind in the sun light
my deep set eyes dead orbs
yet the sun warms me

I can hear the sea
echos fill my clouded eyes
my soul peels away

hot rain falls lightly
layer after layer melts
once more my eyes see

early morning__
sleepy primrose
nod their heads

Ice Skin

bulb buried deep earth
ice skin covers blossoms site
hiding in soils warmth

bulb skin must be thick
lying dormant cold as death
frost melts new life

crocus...sleep

march days cold still reigns
waiting for black ice to melt
crocus deep asleep

beneath hard ground frost
tiny colors turn in dreams
come spring come colors bloom
