Submission must be either newly created by you (or your Team) during the Submission Period, or, if the project to be used as Submission existed prior to the Submission Period, must have been completed after February 1st, 2025.
-
Projects that have been incubated in relevant Creative Partner Programs (by a Promotion Entity) can be submitted as a Submission to the Competition; any other Submissions must not have been developed, or derived from another project developed, with financial or preferential support from a Promotion Entity. -
The Promotion Entity, at their sole discretion, may disqualify a Submission, if awarding a prize to the Submission would create a real or apparent conflict of interest.
-
-
Multiple Submissions: Each entrant may submit more than one Submission, however, each Submission must be unique and substantially different from each of such entrant’s other Submissions, as determined by ElevenLabs in its sole discretion.
-
You agree that your Submission conforms to the guidelines and restrictions detailed below. ElevenLabs may choose to remove any Submission or disqualify you from the Competition if it believes that your Submission fails to conform with the requirements set forth in these Official Rules. In connection with each Submission, you may be asked to disclose the artificial intelligence applications or tools (each, an “AI Tool”) used in creating the Submission, and you agree to provide such information in an accurate and complete manner. You acknowledge that ElevenLabs has no obligation to publish or use or retain any Submission you submit or to return any such Submission to you. Your use of any AI Tool (or any other software or tool) will be subject to the license agreement related thereto. If your Submission is selected to win a “Sponsor Award” (as can be seen in the prize table in Section 6) (e.g., 1st Prize from ElevenLabs), you may be asked for proof that you used the applicable AI Tool.

-
Submission Modifications:
-
Draft Submissions: Prior to the end of the Submission Period, you may save draft versions of your Submission on the Competition Website to your portfolio before submitting the Submission to the Competition for judgment. Once the Submission Period has ended, you may not make any changes or alterations to your Submission, but you may be able to update the saved content in your Devpost portfolio.
-
Limited modifications: After the Submission Period, ElevenLabs and Devpost may permit you to modify part of your Submission for the purpose of adding, removing or replacing material that potentially infringes a third party’s mark or right, discloses personal data, or is otherwise inappropriate. The modified Submission must remain substantively the same as the original Submission with the only modification being what ElevenLabs and Devpost permits.
-
-
Judgment: Eligible Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by ElevenLabs (the “Judges”). Judges may be employees of ElevenLabs or third parties, may or may not be listed individually on the Competition Website, and may change before or during the Judging Period. Judging may take place in one or more rounds with one or more panels of Judges, at the discretion of ElevenLabs.
-

Among the prizes connected with Promotion Entities (i.e., the Title Sponsor prizes, Gold Sponsor prizes, and Silver Sponsor prizes), each Submission may be eligible for multiple prizes (e.g., a 2nd Prize from ElevenLabs and a 3rd Prize from CapCut). For clarity, no Submission can win more than one prize connected with a single Promotion Entity (e.g., a Submission cannot win a 1st Prize from ElevenLabs and 3rd Prize from ElevenLabs at the same time).
-
Substitutions & Changes: Prizes are non-transferable by the winner. ElevenLabs in its sole discretion has the right to make a prize substitution of equivalent or greater value. ElevenLabs will not award a prize if there are no eligible Submissions entered in the Competition, or if there are no eligible participants or Submissions for a specific prize.
-
Verification Requirement: THE AWARD OF A PRIZE TO A POTENTIAL WINNER IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION OF THE IDENTITY, QUALIFICATIONS AND ROLE OF THE POTENTIAL WINNER IN THE CREATION OF THE SUBMISSION. No Submission or participant shall be deemed a winning Submission or winner until their post-competition prize affidavits (the “Required Forms”) have been completed and verified, even if prospective winners have been announced verbally or on the Competition Website. The final decision to designate a winner shall be made by ElevenLabs.
-
Prize Delivery: Prizes will be payable to the participant, if an individual; to the Team Representative, if a Team. It will be the responsibility of the winning Team’s Team Representative to allocate the prize among their Team. Failure to provide correct information on the Required Forms, or other correct information required for the delivery of a prize, may result in delayed prize delivery or forfeiture of a prize. ElevenLabs will use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver prizes within 60 days of the receipt of the completed Required Forms.
-
Fees & Taxes: Each winner (and in the case of a Team, all participating members of such Team) shall be responsible for any fees associated with receiving or using a prize, including but not limited to, wiring fees or currency exchange fees. Each winner (and in the case of Team, all participating members of such Team) shall be responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes in their jurisdiction of residence (federal, state/provincial/territorial and local). Winners may be required to provide certain information to facilitate receipt of the award, including completing and submitting any tax or other forms necessary for compliance with applicable withholding and reporting requirements. United States residents may be required to provide a completed form W-9 and residents of other countries may be required to provide a completed W-8BEN form. Winners are also responsible for complying with foreign exchange and banking regulations in their respective jurisdictions and reporting the receipt of the prize to relevant government departments/agencies, if necessary. ElevenLabs or Devpost reserves the right to withhold a portion of the prize amount to comply with the tax laws of the United States or other applicable jurisdiction.
-
Disclaimer: ElevenLabs, DevPost, each Promotion Entity, and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, public relations firms, employees and advertising, fulfillment and marketing agencies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) phone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer or communications-related malfunctions or failures beyond ElevenLabs or the Released Parties’ reasonable control; (c) any disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the reasonable control of ElevenLabs or the Released Parties by non-authorized human intervention; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Competition.
-
Limitations of Liability; Releases:
-
By entering the Competition, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you (and your Team) release ElevenLabs and all Released Parties from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Competition or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. For clarity, if a certain Promotion Entity happens to be the service provider of the AI Tool (or an affiliate with such service provider) that you have used to create the Submission, these Official Rules do not govern that relationship.
-
By registering for the Competition, you (and your Team) agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from any and all third-party claims, demands and losses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or relating to: (A) your (or your Team’s) breach of any terms in these Official Rules, (B) any allegation that your (or your Team’s) Submission infringes, misappropriates or violates any intellectual property rights or other rights of any person; (C) your (or your Team’s) gross negligence, willful misconduct or violation of applicable law, (D) any misrepresentation made by you or your Team in connection with the Competition; (E) your (or your Team’s) acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize; or (F) your (or your Team’s) participation in any Competition-related activity or participation in this Competition.
-
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL ELEVENLABS OR THE RELEASED PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS OR LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION OR USE OR INABILITY TO USE ANY EQUIPMENT PROVIDED FOR USE IN THE COMPETITION OR ANY PRIZE, EVEN IF A RELEASED PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE RELEASED PARTIES (JOINTLY) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION EXCEED $10. THE LIMITATIONS SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION WILL NOT EXCLUDE OR LIMIT LIABILITY FOR THE RELEASED PARTIES’ GROSS NEGLIGENCE, INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT, OR FOR FRAUD.

Community Guidelines
-
Human creativity is the core component. AI should be used in a significant way in all Submissions, but it can just be one tool in the artist’s toolbox. We will not prescribe exactly how or how much AI content artists should use in their Submissions.
-
Your Submission will be judged as a film, music video, or game, not as a piece of AI. As a participant in the Competition, your highest priority should be the fundamentals of storytelling, design, and art. We invite everyone at any point of the creative journey to learn these skills and aim to provide educational resources to help competitors grow in this aspect.
-
Your Submission will be judged on outputs, not inputs. We will provide trials of many AI Tools. We encourage creators to use whatever tools best fit your Submission or personal creative standards.
-
We prohibit the use of existing franchises and intellectual property, including brands, logos, characters, footage, cinematic universes and other proprietary content that you do not have permission to use for your intended purpose in connection with the Competition. We recognize that parody can be a significant avenue for creativity, but a generic re-hash of an existing franchise or intellectual property will negatively impact your originality score.
-
We prohibit the use of “deepfakes” or non-permitted likenesses. Permissions should be acquired for explicit visual likeness and voice likenesses.
-
Usage (or non-usage) of AI Tools should be transparent and non-deceptive.
-
Clear authorship and credit should be given to all direct contributors on a Submission.
-
We accept films about mature subject matter, but require that they should be done tastefully and with artistic intent. We may lean on certain social media guidelines: for example, if it wouldn’t be able to be posted on YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram, it won’t be accepted in the Competition.
-
We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, racism, sexism, xenophobia, exploitation, bullying, disparagement, or promotions of violence towards any protected group.
-
Represent people and sensitive subject matter with authenticity and respect. Select AI characters with as much care as you would cast a group of human actors and be thoughtful about musical lyrics. For example, we will have a zero tolerance policy towards stereotypical accents, digital blackface, and racial slurs.

Please consider adding a trigger warning for any Submission featuring potentially sensitive or inappropriate content, loud noises, and flashing/strobing lights.
