- Submission Period Begins: July 26, 9 AM EST

Eligibility

This hackathon + ideathon is open to high school students (9th- 12th grades) and college students up to their final year of undergraduate studies.

Project and Submission Requirements

Students participating in the hackathon track will be required to submit:

  • A GitHub link to their project source code
  • A 5-10 minute video explaining the connection to quantum computing, its functionality, and its application

Students participating in the ideathon track will be required to submit:

  • Some presentation material (this is up to the submitter and can be anything ranging from a slideshow to an infographic)
  • A 5-10 minute video explaining the originality, connection to quantum computing, and its possible applications

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

As mentioned in the submission requirements, the judges will focus on:

  • Functionality (Applicable to the hackathon + Classiq track): Does the project function normally? Are there any bugs that hinder the item's functionality? Are there any quirks to having efficient functionality?
  • Connection to Quantum Computing: How connected to quantum computing is the project? Did the student apply quantum computing to the max?
  • Application: Can this prototype be applied to the real world?
