Character Name: Jinx (born as Powder) Series: Arcane Age: ~18 From When?: Episode 8.
Silco (Jinx's adoptive druglord father, who she also happens to work for) brings Jinx to Singed (Silco's immoral-as-fuck scientist buddy), who uses an advanced version of a drug called Shimmer, as well as some sketchy medical equipment, to keep her from dying. At the cost of what remaining mental stability she has left, the Shimmer infusion grants Jinx superhuman strength, speed, and endurance.
I will headcanon that she died just long enough during the infusion process to be yanked away.
Inmate Justification: I have an entire post dedicated to listing out her crimes, as well as warning people in advance about her content and all the triggers.
Arrival: Zero Willingness. She probably tried to fight him or something (I wish that was a joke), at first, despite there being no chance.
Abilities/Powers: She's a bit of a nightmare to go against!
FIREARMS: Very impressive. She has arguably perfect aim, with the only exception being when she fights someone who's unusually fast (e.g. inhuman speed, using some sort of device). Even against very fast opponents, however, she still has a chance of timing her shots correctly. Naturally, she's got no guns here. STRENGTH: Superhuman. She could punch through concrete, dent steel, etc. Later in the series, it's demonstrated that she is able to match her sister (Vi) in a fight, taking punches and giving them on Vi's level. This will be nerfed to regular human strength here. DURABILITY: Superhuman. She can continue fighting while receiving powerful punches, cuts, stabs, burns, etc. The only thing to truly defeat her in S1 was a bomb she built, and then voluntarily activated during her fight with Ekko. AGILITY: Superhuman. She was dodging attacks faster than the blink of an eye even before Singed's surgery. After the surgery, she's shown moving short distances faster than anyone's eye can keep up with, and thus able to dodge bullets with ease. This will be nerfed to normal speed. HEALING: Superhuman. Even when the injury could be labeled fatal, her recovery speed leaves room for a chance to essentially bounce back.
TRAPS: Tied in with the below, she is able to plan ahead enough before a fight to build and place all sorts of traps. She leans most towards wire-based and spring-based, and is able to create and build these unusually fast. She has no traps with her here. STRATEGY: She can plan ahead unusually quick, right down to details most may not consider. Some examples are when she rigged bombs on a ship to disrupt and overwhelm the Firelights, making it impossible for them to focus just on disposing of Shimmer. She blew up a building to draw away Enforcers, allowing her to break into the main structure undetected, to steal a crystal from them.
MACHINES AND TECHNOLOGY: Her tech skills are remarkable; she's been an inventor at heart since she was a very young child, and that fixation helped her drive for learning as she went. To continue from the above section, she builds her own handguns and rocket launchers, and she created and built most of the weapons used by her adoptive dad's gang members. The speed at which she makes things varies, likely determined by the level of motivation she holds for the task.
Despite having no formal education, Jinx successfully reverse-engineered Hextech after stealing notes from Jayce's and Viktor's extensive research. With just those notes alone, she created Hextech weapons that proved to work remarkably well. She even upgraded her own pistol with her new knowledge, to fire arcane energy blasts. Last, but not least, she built Sevika a new robotic arm with a slot-machine-type system to combat Sevika's tendency to lean predictable. No gadgets will arrive with her.
ART: She leans street art and abstract, which visually matches the hallucinations she experiences, when upset.
Inmate Information: This is being divided into three sections, for easier reading.

Full Rundown:
Note: I'll go over each of the most critical moments (especially ones that the wiki doesn't elaborate on), in order of when they happened. I will use her birth name, Powder, while going over events during which she used it. Likewise, Jinx is the name used for after her adoption by Silco.
She and her sister were orphaned, due to theirparents being part of (helping lead, to be exact) a massive riot. Put simply, the riot led to the Enforcers swarming the area and killing anyone who seemed involved in it. The whole thing was very traumatic; Powder was only 5 years old, and barely able to process the gravity of it at the time. During the opening scene she's shown holding one hand over her own eyes, singing a song to comfort herself as she walked hand-in-hand with Violet (nicknamed Vi) through the body-littered streets of their now-broken city. After lowering her hand, Powder saw, firsthand, the bodies of their mother and father, and her reaction is to look up at her sister; she visibly seemed to care most about how Vi's handling it.
Young Powder and Vi were adopted by a gentle giant of a man named Vander, who'd already been an important figure in Powder's and Vi's lives. Vander adopted twomore children, Mylo and Claggor. Mylo, in particular, played a huge role in the decline of Powder's mental state.
Mylo was, put bluntly, abusive to Powder. Many times, in just the short amount of time we're shown, he made it very clear he saw her as useless, bad luck, and like someone who should have never been around, whenever they were doing important things. Combined with Powder's developing autophobia, this drove her to the point of desperation for usefulness. She needed to be someone worth keeping around! Unfortunately, though... after their father was kidnapped by an old friend, even Vi was telling her she wasn't ready to help. That translated into being "useless" for helping rescue their father.
Put lightly, she had a full-blown breakdown that involved quite a lot of self-harm, self-blaming - essentially having what appeared to be an intense, psychotic breakdown.
After calming down a little, she decided she could use the crystal she stole during the earlier failed heist; it already proved to be explosive. Taking that and one of the small robots she built, she followed the trail her siblings took, and she climbed up to where they were. Just as it seemed her family would be killed by a Shimmer-mutated young man, she sent her little robot in the direction of Deckard. She had no way of knowing just how powerful the explosion would be, and she was blown backwards from the building, missing all of the events that followed it.
When she finally made it back to the building, Vi was crying next to a mutated-looking version of Vander, and seemed to be somewhat dazed... until Powder revealed that it had been her monkey bomb that exploded. Grieving, hurting, and furious already, Vi took that news horribly; she (15 years old at the time) punched Powder (11 years old at the time) right in the face, breaking her nose.
Powder hadn't even fully processed, yet, that she had just involuntarily killed all of her family, except Vi. And then, as she was breaking down more and more, asking why Vi had left her behind in the first place, Vi grabbed her face. She looked her right in the eyes, and then said the words that would go on to haunt them both for the rest of their lives:
"Because you're a JINX!"
Then, despite all the begging Powder was doing, Vi walked away from her. That was the moment that cemented the autophobia, leading to the next significant moment: Silco becoming her next father figure.
While Vi was being dragged away to prison (unknown to Powder at the time), Silco was approaching Powder. He greeted her, asking where her sister was, and there were too many emotions happening within Powder. Resentment towards Vi was new for her. But she latched onto it, because it was easier to deal with than the agony of so much loss of what was once her entire world.
She literally and figuratively clung onto the first person who seemed to care what she was feeling at the time. And, while patting and embracing her, he promised they would "show them all"...
Silco's kindness towards her might have been tainted by ulterior motives, but he was genuinely protective of her, regardless of the reasons. He gave her a home, and he never once walked away from her over any disagreements. He made promises to her that he kept. He taught her, he allowed her to flourish when it came to her art and love of technology and inventing. She was allowed to listen to her favorite music at full volume, and she was allowed to gain her own style - clothes that she felt comfortable and happy in, for instance.
While she did become a murder-happy, unhinged, and very twisted individual... in her mind, becoming Jinx allowed her to have a father who wouldn't abandon her. Would never call her "not ready". Would never see her as "useless" or "weak". Or... so she'd been thinking, for all those years.
Jinx still couldn't "let go" of the memories of Vi. She was haunted by her memory, even when just seeing a young woman who looked nothing like actual Vi - just had the pink hair. After breaking down a little, she shot and killed a young woman for just that very reason. And, in turn, Silco told her she needed to take some time for herself. She took that as being called too weak.
Just that was enough to drive her to go blow up a major building, killing many Enforcers without any guilt behind that, to steal something that could help Silco in his plans (a marble-like blue gemstone that held great power). She was absolutely giddy when handing that over, after laughing about burning and blowing up a building and killing people.
Not long after that, she showed intense jealousy and possessiveness over Vi, upon discovering she was still alive. She tortured and killed over just the news that Vi had been traveling with an Enforcer. Then she demonstrated, in front of Vi, that she becomes giddy whenever killing people, en masse.
She is very quick to assume people are lying to her. Even a misunderstanding can lead her to lash out at anyone unlucky enough to be nearby. She will torture, destroy, and kill over losing someone she has grown attached to, and she will do worse to that person if she believes they've betrayed her. Jinx does best with someone consistent, patient, and blunt. It balances her unpredictability, as far as her own emotions can be.
Path to Redemption: She is in dire need of help with managing anger and her own emotions. Medication to help with hallucinations would also be a good first step, alongside therapy. If, by any chance, a castmate shows up, it could greatly help or greatly hinder any progress, depending on who it is. Cait, for instance, would bring great danger to Cait, while Vi or Silco could be a mixture of both bad and good, depending on their approach.
Lastly, Jinx needs to feel challenged in the form of technology, so working with that in this place could be wonderful for her. While she might spend the first month resisting any form of help, having some time to process may be another good first step.
Special Notes:Shimmer is very thoroughly in her system. She may need some help from the clinic with the physical degradation, on top of the psychological help she'll be needing.
