For big games this is absolutely fair; larte companies love capitalism and capitalism says the right price is the one where the product gets sold.

Smaller teams and developers that I know care about building a good game just as much as about earning money, I don't mind paying full price to support a good product. That said, I wasn't born with a job, and if -95% is your budget then -95% is a fair price.
