DJ Cable x Do Androids Dance Present: Wiley - The Steps Mix
I'm amazed that after all this time, no-one has actually put together a full mixed version of Wiley's Step freestyles.
After chatting to Khal over at Do Androids Dance we both decided it'd be a good idea to present the Godfather of Grime's finest work from the past 12 months in a mixed format for you to enjoy in one sitting.
They're not in numerical order, as that would be boring...plus, there would be a load of key clashing going on. Anyway, sit back and enjoy, and press that download button.

Willy Moon Feat. Wiley - Yeah Yeah (DJ Cable Remix)
I'm pleased to announce my first remix for a major label!
I made this whilst on tour in France the other week, after realising I had the stems to the original tune on my hard drive. Seeing as I had little to no internet connection, I decided to keep myself occupied in between shows by making a remix.
The powers that be liked the rough version, and after some support and radio play from my good friends Mistajam and CJ Beatz, I then got an email asking to include Wiley's verse on the remix. I complied, and the rest is history!
Big up the team at Island Records, hopefully there will be more remix opportunities in the future.

DJ Cable Vs. Denon MC3000 (Video)
...so the guys over at Denon Europe asked me to test out their new 2 channel MIDI controller, the MC3000, and put together a routine for their new promo video....
It's very much a live club set, which incorporates a bit of live remixing on the spot.
The routine starts with a mixtape-style intro over the (now-classic) Grime instrumental "Wooo Riddim".
I then build up a composition using a series of custom loops and one shots (some of which I've made myself), alongside a refix I've made of Roska's "Jackpot", and then mess about with the effects. After that, I then mix in the intro to Redlight's "Stupid", and trigger a bass sample (from that tune), manipulating it using the Filter LFO effect.
Main features covered include:
multi deck mixing
cue point juggling
group effects (assigning more than one deck to an effects group)
making use of the volume faders for all 4 decks
I hope you enjoy the video!

So I started up a digital label...
As a new year dawns, so do new projects. After months of quiet planning, research, and a few hundred emails, I'm proud announce the launch of my label Triangulum Recordings.
Specialising in the deeper/darker/purple side of Dubstep, instrumental Grime and other experimental music around the 140 BPM region, Triangulum is a digital label that aims to bring you the best forward-thinking electronic music this side of the galaxy; so expect a healthy mixture of dark riddims, bouncy riddims, and stuff that's downright weird, wonky and wonderful.
The 001 will be out in early/mid March, featuring music from Fused Forces and myself, and an exciting up-and-coming producer by the name of DCult, whose tracks have received recent support from Dubstep royalty such as Youngsta (Rinse FM) and Cyrus (Random Trio). Snippets are up on the Soundcloud page now.

Whilst the website is being sorted, you can follow Triangulum on Twitter, or become a fan on Facebook for regular updates.
Lastly, to all the bloggers/journalists out there, I'm currently available for guest mixes and interviews if you're interested in knowing more. Hit me up and I'll send over the relevant info. I'll also be announcing more details of the first few releases this month.
I'm excited to see where this new venture takes me.
