I had my last ever group meeting today.. to put together our project report. I must say that this is the most fun group I've ever been in. You see, I've always been rather calculating when choosing my groupmates, for any class. I didn't like my groupmates when I took Calculus 1 in my freshman year. Since then, I chose my groupmates based on my instincts and first impressions on them. Usually, I go with the nerdy-looking people, or people who don't look like slackers/bimbo/lazy/biatches/snobbish.. haha. I also tend to choose guys over girls.. just because I trust guys more (in engineering, lol). Guys juga tak banyak songeh, senang buat kerja ngan diorang. So for the past 4 years, I never had any bad experience with groupmates and groupworks.. fortunately my 'strategy' always worked well for me, excluding my Calculus 1 group.
However for my senior design class, I didn't follow my usual 'strategy', so to speak. It was based on the project that I wanted to do. Actually, it was the only proposed project that I understood. It has to do with music, and completely signals & systems material. Other projects, I didn't know shit what it's all about. About a month into the semester, I've already crossed out the people that I don't want to work with, for reasons that I shouldn't say here, hehehe. Lucky for me, the people I ended up with were not in my no-list. And it turned out all of us has some sort of interest in music. One of them is in the marching band and some jewish acapella group, another one is a member of the Men's Glee Club and The Friars (a singing group which is a whole level higher than the Glee Club), and the last one plays the guitar, like me! hahahh. And alsooo, all of them were cool EECS people.. like me! muahahahha. Very lepak.. laid back.. but not slackers.. they do the work they should do.. but not to the extent of being those really freaky EECS students that are in abundance.
Another thing was, they're not all freakishly smart or anything (but of course they're not hopeless lah), so I didn't feel intimidated. We divided into subgroups of two since there where 2 parts to our project (frequency detection and pitch shifting), and the guy that I had to work with (the guitar guy).. mmg best lah. hahahah.. very cool guy, very funny too.. he likes to make these weird sound effects (Deera, lagi kronik dari kau!! hahahaha). Fun to hang out with, well.. he IS a frat-boy anyway.. All my friends who are frat-boys are fun people..
So today, we spent about 3 hours putting our report together.. in a chilled and laid back atmosphere.. no rush.. since everyone was done with finals.. took some pictures.. and said our goodbyes. hahaha dammit I can't believe I'm being emotional about my freakin' groupmates!! hahahahaha.. and to think that I've been dreading this class for the whole summer.. Well, so that's that. Another good memory to bring back home.
Anywayy... I had more fun than I thought I would during my graduation ceremony today. All was good, the only thing that I regret was that I didn't take a picture with my lab partner (for another class). He's pretty cool too.. he's in the Michigan Cycling team I think, and also kinda cute, hahahahah!
Hmphh.. I think somehow my upcoming entries will be more emotional than I want them to be in these final weeks before I go back home. haha.. I dunno, we'll see about that.
p/s: Thanks for coming, and the flowers too. Both of you mean a lot to me.

Hey rakan2 aku sekalian,
Saya ingin menjemput sesiapa yg takda kerja, taknak buat kerja, malas nak study utk finals dan mahu membazir masa, ke graduation ceremony saya di Crisler Arena (sebelah stadium, bukan Chrysler Hall kat Duderstadt, lol) pada hari AHAD ini bersamaan 18 December jam 2.00 petang (guests to be seated by 1.50pm). Tidak perlu ada ticket, semuanya free seating. Sekian, terima kasih.
p/s: aku nak bunga. lalalalaaaa..

So... whaddaya know.. I'M FREAKIN' DONE, BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (finally?)
hehehehe.
I just had my major design project presentation today. It went okay, despite the fact that we had a 75% working project. Considering that our project was pretty tough to implement anyway (the Prof acknowledged that), I guess it turned out okay.
actually, I still have to write the project report and I have a piano final exam in a week, but those are pretty easy..
Now I can watch J-dramas and animes all night.. all week.. all month.. yosh!!
Oh yeah, I'm sick of the word "implement". EVERYBODY uses it.. at least in engineering anyway.. in a technical sense that is. and I myself just used it above (look whose complaining). dammit!! ..

I just found out that all my major design project groupmates played alto sax in high school.. including me! hehehe. that's awesome.
OJA, here's the link to a bunch of torrent files including Kindaichi 3.
http://jem.d-addicts.com/
I don't know about other dramas, but someone is currently volunteering to seed the torrent file for Kindaichi 3 till the end of this month. So hayaku!!

I just took my last EECS exam ever tadi. Gilalah.. macam tak percaya je. Furthermore, the exam was so easy sbb Prof aku pemalas. Dia akan pi holiday even before classes ends next Tuesday, and so dia buat exam senang so dia boleh grade cepat2. Bukan senang sebarang senang, mmg senang terlalu senang. Dia repeat every question from last semester punya exam, and just changed the figures. Dah la material utk second half of the semester mmg trivial gila, makes it all the more easier. Projected mean is 90/100. Classmates aku semua lepas habis exam senyum2 je.. Ada siap menyesal lagi study byk2.. kalau study 2 jam before exam takpe. Hahahaha cam tak logic je kelas EECS 400 level aku turn out like this. hahaha best gila lah. project kelas ni pun aku dah siap. Tinggal buat report je.. 2 page je lak tu dia nak. hahahaha.. ni lah Prof EECS paling lepak pernah aku dapat. So siapa2 budak EECS nak 400 level class yg senang.. amik lah EECS 461 with Jim Freudenberg.. hehehehh..
But the next 10 days or so will be hell for me. Sbb major design project aku (for another class that is) tak siap lagi. I don't worry too much because it's a project group so I have another 3 people worrying with me. hahahha.. I just spent 8 hours in the lab today doing the project (tak campur berjam-jam sebelum ni). Will probably work on the project for like 10-12 hrs per day for the next 10 days. Madness! But I guess semua major pun macam ni, so can't complain. Sometimes I think ME students have it tougher than EECS, or maybe I am just plain lazy? Most probably. Every sem sure ada org komen kat aku, 'weh apsal kau ni cam lepak gila aa selalu.. tapi budak EECS'.. hahaha.. sbb aku malas lah aku lepak muahahhaha. Nasib baik survive.
But then again, when I think that this will be the last time I have to work hard sbb EECS nye pasal, so tak kisah la.. it will be over soon. I'll be going home in a month or so.. sebulan kejap je.. tak sabar siot. Dah aa sejuk nak mampus winter ni.. freezer pun lagi panas doh.
