Candid camera!

I know I've blogged not even once this month, so here I am today, on the last day of February, trying to blog. Lots have happened this month, mostly to do with university (read: midterms, assignments, FYP), so I suppose my interest in blogging took a beating. I've got approximately 2 weeks to work on my FYP before having to prepare for the defense presentation, so these past few days have been rather stressful. I still managed to hit the town last week though, with my trusty camera (yes, it's working!) in hand and triSh, who was trying to tell me about the concept of lomography. Apparently what you do is shoot without looking, which to me, sort of defeated the original purpose of photography. I had a blast though. You have no idea how mentally liberating it is to not have to think about symmetry and sharpness and all the stuff you usually have to think about. I still sneaked a peek occasionally though. Can't help it I suppose, as it does take some getting used to. So here are some shots I have from the trip around town.

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageYou'll note there's no individualized commentary this time around. As trish once said, there's nothing much to see in Kuching. Likewise, there's nothing much to say about it. Plenty to say about the last picture though. That's trish, when she least expected it. Muahahahaha! Oh, and there are several interesting points to take note of when looking at these pictures. Firstly, I think I failed miserably at lomography. Secondly, you'll soon realize my affinity for sepia tones. Thirdly, it's just a point-and-shoot camera. Fourthly, this is probably one of my first photo-taking trips. If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know my photo-taking trips usually involve some sort of food. So this is something like a first. And to be honest, it's actually quite fun. I mean, of course you have people staring at you like you're some tourist, and some who will even grin at you, but hey, it's still quite an experience. It's even more fun when halfway through the trip you decide to have a meal of belachan bee hoon, rojak, cendol and the quintessential Coca-Cola. Cheers!
