First day of school! Yeehaw!

School is now in session. Hooray!!

Polly is in kindergarten. Say a prayer for her. She's in a mainstream kindergarten class
with an aid.

Elaina is in fifth grade.

Zoya's in fourth.

Evangeline is doing half day preschool one more year. She's the only kiddo on the bus this year. Say a prayer that her year kicks off to a great start.

Here's a pic of all the kids going to the neighborhood school. (Evangeline already left for her school on the bus). Our friends Riley, Kadin and Layla started at our school this year too. Fun!

First day of school!

Evangeline had her first day of school today! She was excited to go out (we've been home a lot over Christmas). Of course, Polly and Lainie and Zoya were more excited than Evie about school but she was game to go along in the van.

Once she got to her classroom, though, Evie was excited! I hung out with her there for about an hour. Thankfully, the OT was in the classroom for the morning and helped Evie get situated.
I left her in her class for an hour and when I returned to pick her up the teacher said she had cried a bit (which is a good sign for bonding, right?)but that overall she did well. Evie was happy to see me (another good sign...I was worried she wouldn't want me). We came home, had lunch and she initiated a few hugs (WOW). Now she's taking a nap.

I'm pleased...we'll see how tomorrow goes.
