Repro Steps

  • Upgrade WSL to version 2.5.4
  • Launch WSL Settings and change networking mode to mirrored

Expected Behavior

On Windows 10 change should not be applied, mirrored mode is not supported. Didn't test on Windows 11.

Actual Behavior

WSL Settings writes enpty key to .wslconfig

Message on Ubuntu startup:

wsl: Invalid value '' for config key 'wsl2.networkingMode' in C:\Users\elsac\.wslconfig:7 (Valid values: mirrored, nat, none, virtioproxy)
