Summary of Changes

Hello @menshibin, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request primarily focuses on improving code correctness and safety. It addresses a bug in Python example scripts that caused incorrect timestamp generation by ensuring the proper loop variable is used. Additionally, it enhances a C utility by implementing a safer string formatting function to mitigate buffer overflow risks, contributing to overall system stability.

Highlights

  • Python Example Fixes: Corrected a logical error in two Python example scripts (stmt_native.py and stmt_ws.py) where the incorrect loop variable was used for timestamp generation, leading to potentially incorrect data.
  • C Code Safety Improvement: Enhanced the robustness of the tools_cJSON_Version function in toolscJson.c by replacing sprintf with snprintf to prevent potential buffer overflows when formatting the version string.

Code Review

This pull request introduces a few changes. The main one, reflected in the title, is a security improvement in toolscJson.c which replaces the unsafe sprintf with snprintf to prevent potential buffer overflows when constructing the version string. I've suggested a further improvement to increase the buffer size to avoid version string truncation.

Additionally, there are two small but important bug fixes in the Python example files (stmt_native.py and stmt_ws.py), where an incorrect loop variable was used for generating timestamps. The changes are correct.
