Blog Slackers

So we've been blog slackers. The majority of the reason for the slacking is...we moved! We stayed with Beau for a while and during that time our camera cord was packed. When we got into the new house we didn't have a computer set up or the internet. The internet is hooked up, camera cord unpacked, and the camera has been found so there should be no more excuses for lack of posting.

We have a long list of things to blog about (moving, baby updates, drunken shenanigans) so in the next couple of days we will try to get all caught up.

PS- no blog is complete without a picture. I think Russell is wishing really hard for something, Ken thinks he is being Chinese.

DMB

This is Drunk Monkey (aka Ken) at the Dave concert this year. He is really making the most out of "Summer of Ken". I opted not to go and sent Dan in my place. I was cranky to the max, so it was really best for everybody if I didn't go.

PS- Ken sent this picture to his co-workers at 4:30pm on a Friday, just to be an ass.

Mystery Safe

There is a mystery safe in one of the basement walls of our new house. The owners before us and the owners before them never knew the combination to the lock. Ken has made it his personal mission to find out what is in that safe.

He thought he could "listen for the pin to drop" like they do in movies with my stethoscope.

After his failure, I thought my expert use of a stethoscope would help us. It did not. The same remains a mystery.

Week 14

Here I am at week 14. I'm wearing maternity pants now and like it. I've lost 13 pounds so far and my regular pants were getting too baggy to wear without pulling them up every 5 seconds.

Snow Cones!

One of the best things about the new house is that we are about 10 minutes from the Ripple. After a day of exploring we came across a shaved ice stand. And it was awesome.

Lime and strawberry are the two best snow cone flavors in the world. (I would like to thank Kevin and then Ken for both not fitting into this shirt. It fits me and the baby quite nicely)

Picking Raspberries

While living at Beau's we rediscovered nature and picked wild raspberries in his back yard. I thought I saw bugs though, so I did not partake. (I'm not very "outdoorsy" if you must know)

Bloomington Baby Shower

Matt and Danza's little man is due in September and Justin and Emily hosted a baby shower for them in Bloomington. All we have good pictures of are the presents and the cupcakes. What, we all like presents and cupcakes.

4th of July

We spent this Fourth of July on the roof of Ken's work downtown, which happens to be less than 2 blocks from the firework launch pad.

Yes, it takes four of them to cook hamburgers.
After we got there we realized nobody brought a bottle opener. No problem, Ken will find a way to open any beer.

Amanda and Dan brought "firecrackers", swiss cake rolls with candles. We most definitely lit them on fire before the night was over.

The only problem about being directly downtown was the traffic leaving. We waited a good 30-45 minutes (see sparkler fight above) before attempting to leave.
