Star Wars Night

So apparenly Parker's love for Star Wars has rubbed off a bit on the whole family.  I had never even seen the movies until Parker started asking about them.  When we found out Victory Field was hosting Star Wars night, you better believe I stopped by the box office on the way home from work.  

A very healthy dinner of nachos and pretzels.  

Parker didn't care about the characters, but Miles loved them.  

Miles asked no less than a dozen times to "hug Vader".  We eventually found him and Miles was so excited!

Cubs vs Marlins

Ken and I took an adults only trip to Chicago for a Cubs game.  It was Ken's uncle Jon's 50th birthday, and we were all there to celebrate.

Top of the first inning, Garret Jones hit a ball to left field.  Lake caught it to end the inning.  I like to think we made eye contact and he tossed the ball right to me.  In reality, he tossed it, it went through a dozen hands, and landed on the ground right under Ken.  Ken wasn't quick or nimble enough, and the ball was mine.

Orange Tigers

Parker had an awesome season this soccer.  He was with the same coaches he had last season, and several of the same kids.  His favorite position this year was goalie.

Parker's First IU Game

The Lloyds offered us tickets to an IU game, and you know we can't turn that down.  The timing didn't work out for Ken to go, so Parker was able to go to his first game.  And he absolutely loved it.  

 Did he eat popcorn for dinner?  You bet.

Fall League

It's that time of year again... fall soccer league!

Gold Swagger

During the NBA finals, we headed downtown for the Pacers pre-game party.  Parker was stoked and kept asking if the players were going to be there (they weren't, for the record).  It was a nice, free, family fun time event.

Soccer Buddies

First Soccer Game

This picture warms my heart.  The coach could tell Parker was nervous, he didn't hesitate or make it a big deal, he just took his hand and walked with the kiddos to the bench.  

This sums up 95% of the first soccer game.  Play to the far left... Parker far away on the right.  He pretty much stayed in one spot, far away from the ball.
