Buddies

I know having a dog with a baby in the house makes some people nervous. I, on the other hand, can't imagine having Parker or Russell not having the other! They are besties. Parker looks for Russell every morning and gives him a hug or a kiss. Russell will sleep next to the crib if we leave his door open, and keeps VERY close when Parker has food. All 3 boys in my house make me happy :)

I wish you could see Parker's smile and hear his little giggle. His eyes are practically closed he is smiling so big.

Kisses for his puppy. (I know I pretty much posted the same picture a few months ago... but I can't get enough of them!)

Footprints in the Dirt....

I am constantly finding this in my kitchen.

Image
Two perfect little clean footprints in a pile of dirt. Parker loves nothing more than playing in our house plants. He is such a quiet little dude that I don't suspect anything when he is in the kitchen with me. I guess the baby gate will stay around my house plants for a little longer....

15 Months

Image
ImageI couldn't pick just one picture. They both make me laugh for different reasons!

I know I say this every time.... but where has the time gone??? The P Monster has turned into such a little man. It is so fun to watch how smart he is getting. He loves jumping, climbing up and down stairs, and always finds Russell first thing in the morning to give him a hug. He has also started sitting in his bed and reading books to himself. He is clocking in at 30 inches and 23 pounds, putting him at the 25th percentile for both. No surprise... he still isn't a giant.

For funzies... here is the little man last April.

Wednesday walk day!

Image

Today our company held a "walking day" at lunch. We were asked to go for a walk sometime during the day as part of our healthy corporate initiative. Being the company guys we are, Brent, Beau, and I walked down to Circle Center Mall, bought some ice cream and ate it at the monument on the circle. Hagendaz received poor reviews from two out of three of us. Notice Beau starting his second helping after nearly completing his first. Well done boys!!

Sticker Car

ImageAll restaurants should have stickers and paper cars to stick them all over. This kept Parker happy until we were ready to leave. Happy Parker = a happy dinner for Jess and Ken. Kudos to you Steak N Shake!

Why bother using my hands when I can just lean over to take a drink?

Jay and Marie Professional Stuff

Marie (and Jay) did their homework, and picked the BEST photographers and videographers in town. Hands down, the best. Below I posted a link to each of their blogs, featuring Jay and Marie. Enjoy!

Jay and Marie Wedding

**Again, totally stole these pictures from Lydia Gross (and a couple from Cathy)**

I don't really know what I am supposed to write about for this blog. The day was absolutely perfect, with a million little details that I want to tell you about. Marie looked like a model, and I'm not sure Jay quit smiling the entire day. There was a Best Dog, fire socks, cotton candy on the circle, red velvet cake, blue moon, groomsmen eating the brides dinner, and extreme dancing. There are no words that I could write that would do this day the justice it deserves. Perfect. Just perfect.

I know this post is about Jay and Marie.... but I know most of you have come here for a picture of the P Man looking snazzy. So here it is...

Bridal party intros.... this picture is awesome!

Doesn't this just make you happy?

Jeff and Amy watching the first dance.

Speaking of dances.... this is where things start to get pretty awesome. You know it is a good dancing night when your calves are burning the next day.

I'm not even going to try and explain.

Rehearsing

*I shamelessly stole all of these pictures from Lydia's facebook. I take no credit for taking any of them*

How cute are these little ones?? The girls knew how to keep the boys on track.

I made Marie's bouquet out of things I found in the hotel room. TP roll, dental floss, tissue paper, and ribbon. I'm pretty much MacGyver. Bonus points- the bouquet matched her shoes perfectly.

And now onto the dinner! After rehearsing our tails off, we headed over to Rock Bottom. I designed coasters to decorate the tables. Get it... "Kinney's" "Eat, Drink and be Married" "Est. 2010"

Not bonus- It was by Duke.

Bridal Brunch

Marie treated her bridal party and bridal mammas to brunch at the Capital Grille the day before the wedding. The food was incredible (and huge) and I highly recommened eating brunch there! In true Jess fashion, I brought my camera and managed to take just 2 pictures. Thanks Marie for a fab time!!

Cousin Time

Parker has lots and lots of cousins to play with. My cousin Jeremy and his wife Gretchen brought their 3 boys to town for the Final Four games. The P Man got lots of play time in while they were here. Having 4 boys under 8 in the house was definitely an experience! I can't decide if it makes me want to have a house full of kiddos, or just have Parker alone for a few more years. HA! Regardless, we had lots of fun.

Egg Hunt

We had family in town this weekend for the Final Four games, which happened to hit during Easter. How lucky were we to have 4 boys running around the back yard looking for eggs?? (Parker just stayed on the deck and threw eggs....) I forgot how much fun Easter egg hunts could be! I am so excited for Parker to get a little bit older so we can have family traditions that he will remember. We are just so lucky to have lots and lots of cousins to play with :)

Easter Morning

Parker walked right past his basket a couple of times before he realized it was there. Once it caught his eye, however, he ran across the room to check it out.

Image
Easter treats!! Stickers, new plates, giant lollipop, chalk, fruit loops, snack cakes, and of course a carrot bat and ball. The Easter Bunny also likes to bring Parker his treats in something other than a "basket". This year it was a wheelbarrow.
Image
Once he got his mits on the snack cakes, he wouldn't let them go. I may, or may not, have let him eat the snack cakes for breakfast.

Egg Decorating

Parker likes to express his artistic abilities using stickers.... so what better way to decorate his Easter eggs! (and it isn't too messy, which I enjoy)

Fun at the dealership

Image

I like taking Jess with me to get the car serviced because she looks like this the whole time.

PS - If you are the owners of the kids behind Jess, please come get them before we tell them there is no Easter Bunny.  Sorry, but they must be quieted.

Enjoying a beautiful night...

Image

Having a beer on the back deck, enjoying the weather while my wife cuts up part of our magnolia for some sort of art inspiration.  Wait, what?

Where`s Wendel?

Image

We went to our favorite lunch spot (Front Page Tavern) hoping to see Wendel the Miller High Life guy, but I think we were a little too early. Apparently he was making an appearance at 1:30 or so.

We were in a fairly jovial mood since it was so nice outside, but too far Brent. Too far.

Blue skies and 80 degrees...

Image

This calls for a quicknic (a quick picnic)!!

At lunch today, I was able to enjoy a quick outing with the Moulds and some random strangers in the park across the street from work. The fun stranger let us pet his new puppy, Ginger. The other stranger kept telling us to "Check your windage!" as we were playing frisbee. He looked exactly like Hank Hill's dad. He looked to be a USMC vet that stumbled out of the federal building.

I need to get my arm warmed up for a full season of throwing the baseball! Good times!
