Splash Buddy

Summer is officially here... it's pool time!!! Parker has started his summer running around the JCC like a wild man. He likes to take your hand and drag you through all the sprinklers and water slides. Nothing makes him laugh harder though than the waterfall in the lazy river. He laughs and points as soon as he sees it, then screams and laughs when we go under it.

Mom and Parker.

He would run around this little sprinkler all day.

He liked this sprinkler so much he tried to take it home with him.

Worn out.

Poopy or Chocolate?

I love looking in the rear-view mirror and seeing this sight....

Verdict.......
Chocolate!!!
Image
PS- Don't give your kid a chocolate chip cookie in the car... in June... with sweaty hands.
PPS- I pulled the car into a church parking lot to take the pictures, don't worry friends!

Oatmeal

I'm not sure why, but we hadn't tried oatmeal with Parker since the early days of his baby food eating. He kept trying to steal my oatmeal, so I finally bought him his own big boy oatmeal. Big surprise... he loved it!! Oatmeal is giving Pancake a run for it's money as number one breakfast food.

I LOVE OATMEAL!

Hour of Fun

Parker has just discovered the tunnel he got for his birthday. He spent close to an hour crawling in the tunnel and chasing a ball thru it. He was sweaty and red faced, hence the no pants and tank top. We keep it classy in the Harrison house.

The Wink

This is Parker's current goofy face. He likes to make this face when he is being silly, and when he thinks he is getting in trouble. It does usually make me laugh.... when did he get smarter than me?

B says Ba

This is the one of best items I have redeemed with my Pampers Points. Parker loves this alphabet magnet! He is getting pretty good at "Q" "D" "X" and "B". And for whatever reason, he always hits the button that sings the alphabet when he is done, then runs away.

Zoo Date

Are you tired of Zoo posts??? Too bad :)

We had a Zoo play date with my friend Amy, and her super cute little girl Ella. Ella couldn't get enough of Parker and kept asking him if he saw the animals. Parker threw a mini-fit when Ella wanted to ride in his wagon and cramped his foot space. (Having a GF is about compromise Parker, we'll work on that.)
Image
It was awesome how close you actually got to the cheetahs!! They kept pacing right in front of the giant glass window.
Image
Parker "meowing" at the cheetah.
*I love this picture. It is currently our computer background pic*
Image
This sums up the kids playing in the splash park. Parker acting insane and running at all of the fountains... Ella acting like a lady and carefully walking around making sure she didn't get splashed.

A quick snack before we headed home.

Work Visit

After a zoo trip, Parker and I visited Ken at work for a few minutes. Parker took the time to critique and make corrections on Ken's design plans.

"For the last time, Dad. We have to use flowable fill instead of B-borrow backfill around the exterior face of this retaining wall. You also have to make sure the superelevation rates coming off Bridge 3-A are not in transition. Keep it constant."

Project Ken

After several rounds of tall boys, and close to midnight.....
Image
Ken busted out the table saw and started working a table for the playroom. So far it looks great and should be finished before the week is over.

This is what it is going to look like (aside from the tall boy adjustments)

Zoo Garden

I am a little embarrassed to say that I totally forgot the Zoo had more than animals. How could I forget the butterflies and the garden??? It was a drizzly day, so there weren't very many people there. Have I mentioned how much I love our Zoo pass lately? We feel zero pressure to see everything when we go, and it makes the experience so much more fun. We just relax and wander around and see what we find.

I wore Parker in the hip carrier in the butterfly area. I didn't trust the little man to "be gentle" with the butterflies.
Image
He always stops to smell flowers.
Image
This is my favorite picture of Parker of all time. He was soooo happy running around like a wild man.

It wouldn't be a trip to the zoo without the splash park.....

Goose Egg

Of course this happened on my watch.

Parker bumped his back on the wall, which pretty much flung him forward right into the corner of the bathroom cabinets. I was less than 2 feet from him, but there was nothing I could do but grab a towel and hope for the best.....
Image
He cried when it happened, but really turned on the screaming when I tried to pin him down to ice it. It didn't bleed, but turned into an instant goose egg on his forehead. I pretty much felt like the worst parent in the world.

To make it better, I got Parker a 75 cent peach pie from the grocery.
Image
Also this week, Parker has:
- Shoved his booster seat/high chair to the ground (with him still in it)
- Walked of the ledge between the kitchen and the family room.

Our little Fire Monster knows no fear.
