Oh Parker...

Parker is starting to become very interested in the items that are eventually going to be for the baby. We have started storing/organizing things we will need for the second little one...unfortunately, that means they spend a few days (or weeks) in the living room while we decide where they go. Parker likes to dig thru the items like a rummage sale. This particular item always seems to catch his eye.

Yep, infant bath seat.
Every.Single.Time.
(sorry for the picture quality, I don't know what I was doing)

He was laughing hysterically at this point. I had to put the camera down right after this because it immediately turned to tears when he was stuck for real. It took Ken and I a few minutes to figure out how to get him out.

Ken's 30th

It's official... we are old. Ken turned 30 today, and I've already been there for a few months. We spent the day not working, taking Parker to daycare, and sitting outside in Broadripple for lunch. It was everything wonderful in the world.

Ken, Don and the Dump truck

While Parker and I were away for the weekend.... Ken undertook the major task of redoing one of the back decks. The boards were pretty worn and split, and parts were starting to stick up a little.

Half way removed.

This is the site I saw when I got home: Don, Ken, the dump truck, and a functional deck! It isn't completely finished yet, but it already looks 100 times better than the old one.

This is how Parker wrapped up his Aunt Marie's baby shower. He partied like a rock star.

Living room repair

Image
This is a 360 view of our living room. Apparently when water leaks from your ceiling, it is a pretty extensive repair. They had to completely redo the entire ceiling, paint all the walls, then clean the carpets when they were done. Our house was destroyed for just under a week.

5 Years

We had a mini stay-cation Friday night for our 5 year anniversary. We stayed at the JW Marriott and went to an Indians game. Not only was the hotel awesome, they had the worlds best breakfast buffet. I want to live there.

Check out the view from our hotel room.

Indians games always make me happy since that is where we had our rehearsal dinner before the wedding. I love that we had our rehearsal somewhere we can go every year. Loved our seats! Bonus- they were buy one, get one free.

Warm cookie with ice cream? Yum!

Wheels on the Bus

Parker has started requesting (demanding) "Parper songs" almost every time he gets in the car.
Sorry for the shakiness of the video... the Broadripple potholes are ridiculous.

Just another day at lunch...

Who is jealous of Ken's lunch breaks at work? This is right across from his office building.

Mother's Day

I had a nice quiet Mother's Day, just like I like it. Ken let me sleep in and took over on toddler duty for the morning (including a not so pleasant diaper) so really I was set for the rest of the day.

Parker finished up his Mother's Day art projects in the morning with Nannie.
Image

We spent the afternoon at a local nursery getting new flowers for our front porch and planters. Then my sweet boys planted them all for me! Parker kept saying "Parper man stuff" as they were digging in the dirt.

School Project

Image
It makes me laugh a little when I think that Parker is already working on homework for "school". We were sent home with a big piece of paper and a note to make an "all about me" poster. Parker was excited to take it to school the next day, and tell his teacher about all the people on his poster. I also came to realize that we need to start taking pictures of all 3 of us. I could not find one of Ken, Parker and I that wasn't a year old.

"That My Cars"

I'm excited for Parker to learn the concept of "sharing" when his little brother shows up... I'm guessing he is not as excited.

Camping

Wally had a camping extravaganza for his 30th birthday in Brown County. There were several campsites, tents, a fire, Wally's homemade tow-behind smoker, and enough food and beer to last close to a month. I'm not a super "campy" kind of person, so being 20+ weeks pregnant and camping sounded awful to me. I half considered it when the weather was nice, but once I saw storms on the forecast for the evening I peaced out.

Ken took these pics of the campsite with some crazy app on his iPhone.

While it stormed, Parker and I spent the evening in a nice comfy bed. (Don't judge my chubby baby, it was apparently not a good angle for him)
