Superhero Party

Parker asked several months ago for a superhero birthday party.  He knows I love a plan in advance... I was able to buy a ton of superhero gear after Halloween for 75% off!  We had his party at the JCC to give the kiddos plenty of room to run and practice their superhero moves.  Parker had a nonstop grin on his face, and only stopped running to eat cake.  It was the perfect day for a 5 year old!

A bit blurry, but our big 5 year old.

The JCC had an awesome party coordinator, and kept the kids busy and running the entire time.  This is Parker running through the obstacle course.

Time for our updated family pic.  Seems like we only take one at the kids' birthday parties.

Even the big kids had a blast!

 Cake!

It wouldn't be a Captain America cake without an American flag.  Yes, I am crazy.

Disney on Ice

Grandma and Puh got the kiddos tickets to Disney on Ice for Christmas.  Grandma seriously outdid herself, and we scored front row seats!  The kids (and grownups) were insanely excited and loved the show.  All three of the kids were better behaved than we expected and actually sat thru the entire thing.

The kids loved the Little Mermaid part.  We were close enough that the kids could grab the bubbles.

Our 5 Year Old

Parker turned 5 with balloons, Dave and Busters, breakfast food for dinner, and too much cake.  It was perfect.

We decided to surprise Parker, and fill the hallway outside of his room with balloons.  Miles was the first awake, and just couldn't stop himself.  He slowly inched closer and closer to the balloons, then attacked like a maniac.

Then Parker joined in on the insanity.

A Silent Miles is a Naughty Miles

Miles is a bit of a sleep ninja.  You never really can tell when he is awake, or has snuck out of his bed.  Nannie made the mistake of laying Miles down in our bed after he fell asleep in the car.   He woke up, and found plenty to entertain himself with....

Trapped Indoors

After several days indoors, the natives were getting restless.  We painted, wrestled, read books, all the usual indoor activates.  Then we had to start getting creative and dug into the garage for some treasures.

And how do you clean up the sticky web, you might ask?  Simple...

And then for fun, the power decided to go out.  No worries, headlamps all around!
