Build-a-Bear

My good friends Meredith, Katie, and Naomi gave Bailey a gift card to Build-a-Bear as a big sister gift at our San Antonio shower. We finally took her last night to build her bear. When we first started talking about it she said she wanted a pink bear, but Daddy gently persuaded her to get a brown bear instead. For two days she talked about making a brown bear and putting clothes on it. It was a fun experience. Bailey got to pick out her brown bear (there were several to choose from), stuff it, put a heart in it, dress it, and name it. Bailey chose "Brown Bear" as its name. Imagine that. When the time came, she really didn't care about the clothes. Judd and I were ready to pick out the clothes and dress it ourselves until we saw the Disney section! As soon as Bailey laid eyes on the Cinderella dress she had to have it for her bear. They even had "glass" slippers to match! She held her bear all the way home and slept with it last night. Thank you Mer, Katie, and Naomi for such a wonderful gift for our little girl!

Bailey loved the box! She called it Brown Bear's house and kept peeking in the holes to see it.


AS SOON as we got home, Bailey put on her own Cinderella dress and shoes - just like Brown Bear!
