First Soccer Game

After Bailey's first Upward game, we rushed home to get Campbell changed into his soccer uniform and headed out to his first game!  He was so excited!

Campbell was a little hesitant to join his team until he found his friend Cade.  Then they ran onto the field together!

Everyone says they look alike!  They are in the same class at school and it took their teacher a while to tell them apart!

First Soccer Practice...canceled

Campbell loves soccer.  He got a soccer goal, soccer ball, and soccer "uniform" for his third birthday.  He could have played in a league when he was three, but because he is so shy we knew he probably wouldn't participate.  He even told us he didn't want to play on a team!  Now that he's four, and knowing that a friend from his class is playing, he decided he was ready!  I went to a parent meeting last week and found out when his practice would be...a week and a day away.  He counted down every. single. day. When the day FINALLY arrived, it rained all afternoon.  When I picked him up from school, the first thing he said was, "Is my practice canceled?"  When I told him yes, he cried right there in his classroom.  Poor buddy!  To make it up to him, we took the kids to McDonald's for dinner.  Campbell insisted on wearing his soccer clothes...cleats, shin guards, and all!  Now we're counting down until next Thursday's practice!

First Day of Preschool

Now that Campbell is FOUR, he is in the preschool program at his school.  They are in a separate building across the street from the rest of the school.  It's a pretty big deal there to go "across the street."  He went back to school when I went back to work, but the first "official" day of preschool was Tuesday, September 4th.  He's loving it!

Campbell was so excited that the players' helmets were just like his! He wore this the whole day in anticipation for the game!

The Bears won the season opener against SMU 59 - 24!!!
