Second Grade

How can it be that this child of mine is seven years old and in second grade?  Time, please stop!  About a week before school started, we went up to the school to pick up Bailey's teacher assignment.  As we drove up, she said that she was nervous about second grade.  She ended up getting a teacher that is new to her school, but that Judd and I know of through some friends at church.  I started to tell Bailey about her, but she beat me to it and started telling me about Mrs. M.  I was shocked and wondered how she knew the things she was telling me.  Apparently, Mrs. M. subbed at her school last year and Bailey remembers her.  Bailey said that she is soooo nice and makes learning fun!  As we drove home Bailey said, "I'm not nervous anymore.  I'm excited about second grade!"

First Day of School

Thanks again to Judd for taking pictures on the first day.  Missing the first day of school is probably the toughest part about being a teacher and a mom.
