My friend Adrina makes the most beautiful custom tutus/shirts for kiddos' birthdays and special events and when Halloween rolled around, I asked her if she thought she could make a sock monkey costume for my little monkey! It turned out even better than I had imagined! KayTar was in HEAVEN. If you (or a friend) are looking for something special like this, be sure to check out Posh Birthday Boutique! (and no, I'm not being compensated for posting about her...I'm just a VERY happy mama with a VERY happy kiddo!)

October Leftovers.

He's making this face on purpose. I still love it.

I know I'm biased, but he really IS super handsome.

I love these of my dad helping BubTar with his tie on Halloween.

He was trying to take a bad picture. He can't, evidently.

Pointing to her little hippo that the lady at the joke shop gave her for free!

Trick or treat! You'd give her candy, right? Even though she won't eat it?
And a couple of short stories, too...
One day at lunch, KayTar pointed to one of her classmates and said, "He used to have the most handsome hair, but he got a haircut and now he's got nothing. It used to be handsome and wavy, wavy like the sea!"

KayTar has been working on her handwriting this semester in OT, using the Handwriting Without Tears program and Abilitations Hi-Write paper. One day (waaaay back in October), KayTar showed me one of the letters she had written and I said that it looked good enough to marry. She thought it was SO funny that she kept trying to make her other letters look good enough so I would divorce the letter Z and marry one of them instead. In fact, she still plays this game with me during handwriting time. It has been surprisingly good motivation!

Leftovers.
I had several leftover photos from September and October, so I figured it was about time to post them, as it is now November! I went through and posted captions for all of them and then Blogger decided to ignore my save and I'm not rewriting them...so now you're on your own. The photos are pretty self-explanatory.

BubTar's Pumpkin Party!
We hosted a pumpkin carving party for BubTar's wolf pack this Saturday and it turned out to be a lot of fun for everyone! I think we're going to do it again next year.(I didn't post any photos of the guests out of respect for their privacy.)

Josh worked on that crepe paper thing for like an hour on Friday night. There was even a yard stick involved.

Hot Dog Mummies! Delicious!

Wormy ice cubes, for the punch.

Putrid Punch. Looks disgusting, tastes delightful!

Brain Cupcakes. Zombies love 'em.

KayTar the Sorceress, who posed like this for every photo.

BubTar the Vampire.

The pumpkins! I drove to SEVEN stores on Friday night to find pumpkins!
