bsg razor I totally did not know I should have watched this between seasons. It wasn't listed that way on Sidereel, which is where I was going through things. OH WELL.

Annoyed that the only same-sex relationship I've noticed so far (I'm pretty sure Cain/Gina is the only one; I could have missed someone else but I doubt it) is between a flaming megabitch and one of the Bad Guys. The Cylons are more complicated at this point in the series, but Gina is still under cover and working to kill people, so. EVIL LESBIANS AHOY. Eyeroll.

Also, flashback!Adama is not NEARLY broken out enough for the kind of scarring that current!Adama is rocking.

But. I mean. The freaking contrast between how Cain treated Gina after it came out that she was a Cylon, and then Helo and Tyrol with Sharon? Cain pretty much ordering Gina's rape, and Helo and Tyrol killing someone to keep them from raping Sharon? That throws a whole new and especially unpleasant light on that story line.

BSG does lose omg so feminist!!!1 points when torturing male humans and Cylons involves stuff like water and drugs and plucking out eyeballs, but torturing women defaults immediately to rape. Hi, I'm pretty sure that rape would degrade and humiliate and injure and whatever the fuck else a man just as it would a woman, so. Faily a little.

Overall, I liked it, though. It was good to get a look at everybody in that time frame; the first few seasons are definitely my favorite.
