Album Download: Knifefight - Knifefight

Image

Knifefight, made up of rapper Beans and Brooklyn producer Mux Mool, has a beauty of a free mixtape courtesy of Anticon.

The six-track effort comes with Mux Mool's calm digital footprint, syncing 80s funk grooves with drags of Euro-fused electro over Beans' hearty verses. The Anti Pop Consortium co-founder also teams up with the likes of Cities Aviv, Kool A.D., and Sub Con on several tracks, making it all the more important that you download it right now.

New Baths - Ironworks

Image

Baths has found a comfortable middle-ground between eccentric dream-haze pop and minimalist electronica. The formula, used to obscene precision on the 2010 album Cerulean, is apparent again on the most recent release, "Ironworks." However, Baths, Will Wiesenfeld, uses vocal execution as a higher priority, while still sprawling tapered effects throughout.

Check out "Ironworks" below from Baths' upcoming album Obsidian, set for release May 28 via Anticon.

Avant-garde Japanese pop artist Cokiyu has teamed up with Baths and fellow Japanese producers Madegg, LASTorder, and Geskia!, for her brand new, plush Haku EP.

Featured on the four-track EP, which is available now, is "Twinkle Way" - an adorning track showcasing Baths' minimalist production touch. Listen to it below, and grab the EP today via Anticon.
