please, can someone draw this picture? i can't visualize what it looks like.

In mathematics a distinction is sometimes made between "convex" and "concave" functions. Essentially one is a curve pointing down and another pointing up. How do you remember which is which? Our optimization lecturer, stated the difference and then immediately draw a narrow curve open at the bottom, closed at the top. He said, "If you are chased by a bear, you might go and hide in a conCAVE" and then drew a stick person inside the curve. We groaned. He said "you may groan, but you will never forget". He was right.
