The last weekend in April, we headed back to Texas for Christina and Ricky's wedding in College Station, whoop!! We pulled the kids out of school on Thursday after lunch and started our trek to Houston. We made pretty good time, stopped to pick up dinner and ate in the car on the way. I think we were there by around 8:30 that night!
On Friday, Alissa brought Harris and baby Aaron over for our first time to meet out new nephew! The boys adore Harris and love playing with him.
We headed to Lupe Tortillas for some mandatory Mexican food.
Cute cousins!
Fun with CoCo and Poppy! Later that afternoon, we packed back up and headed to College Station.
We got situated in the house, changed clothes, and drove over for the rehearsal since the boys would be walking down the aisle. The grounds were just gorgeous and the boys loved exploring around, climbing on things, throwing sticks, you name it.
Getting their practice on.
Ryan took the job of holding Henry's hand very seriously.
B and C's turn to practice.
Snapped a few family pics after because the backdrop was so beautiful.
Me and my boys!
Photo overload, I know, but I can't help it!
My fave!!
Time to add in Henry for a cousin pic!
A little outtake!!!
sweet boys
After a few more pics, we headed over to the rehearsal dinner at Cafe Eccell in College Station. This also happened to be the place of our first date although they completely moved their location, changed their type of food and ambiance, but still it was somewhat nostalgic because they had the chocolate strawberry tart that I remember so fondly. It was just as good as I remembered it 15 years ago!
The next morning, we had some free time, so I started off the morning visiting the OrangeTheory and then met up with the boys for a walk around campus. So much has changed since we went there, but Kyle Field and everything around it was really cool.
Up close pic of the 12th man statute. Trying to teach them how to "saw varsity's horns off" for the War Hymn.
Future Aggies
We haven't been back on campus since the Aggie Ring monument was added. It's pretty cool!
The family that gig ems together, stays together!
Ryan wanted a solo pic under the ring for his future college application! Class of 2032!
They just loved roaming campus and running around! Here's Kyle Field in the background.Buzz's future college app pic (maybe, as he is clearly keeping his options open and is heavily considering Auburn).
Found the perfect climbing trees across from Kyle Field that we had to stop at for a few quick climbs.
Everybody needed a pic!
We wrapped up our tour de A&M with some lunch at the one and only Wings n More! Our boys can't quite appreciate our love for this place, and have only been a handful of times (mainly to the one in Conroe). This was our first visit back since moving away, and boy did we miss it!We headed back to the house that afternoon to rest up and get dressed for the big night. The boys were beyond handsome in their bow ties!
Charlie loved this thing!
The big moment was finally here! Ryan and Henry walking down the aisle.
And these two cuties next.
Seriously, I couldn't love this picture anymore.
After the ceremony, we got a few more family pics in as it was another incredibly gorgeous night!
The best I could get of the three of them together.
GiGi and the boys
Henry hopped in after we got it all set-up.
A few mandatory family shots :)
Found an even prettier spot
Clearly, the wind picked up here.
Turned out to be a kind of cool picture.
Never have one of the two of us, especially dressed up.
After pics, we headed over to the reception, where the boys started checking out the candy bar. They had all sorts of candy brought in from Mexico, so they just had to try every single piece.
So handsome!
Just a little dinner, Lunchable style!
The boys had a blast running around, dancing, and consuming as much sugar as possible. We got them home pretty late and off to bed only to wake up to Ryan throwing up early Sunday morning. We had planned to stay in College Station that morning and bum around town some and then stay with my family that night, but as we were driving back to my parents, that planned quickly changed.
We rested at their house for a bit, then decided about 2 pm, we just needed to drive home. We loaded up and headed on our way. About an hour into the ride, Charlie became violently ill as well. Luckily, we were prepared, and with a few roadside stops, we made it home that night. Bradley woke up with it the following morning and thus began the longest week of my life!!! My pediatrician said they had contracted Rotavirus while in College Station. Charlie and Bradley ended up out all week as they were still getting sick until Wednesday/Thursday and Ryan went back to school Thursday. It's definitely something I wish on no one, but we survived (barely) and thank goodness Wes and I escaped it, but since it's a virus typically only spread among children, we were lucky. Despite that, we had a wonderful time at the wedding!
