Stavanger, Norway

Stavanger is the fouth largest city in Norway, located in southwestern part of country. Stavanger counts its official founding year as 1125, the year the Stavanger cathedral was completed. Stavanger's core is to a large degree 17th and 18th century woodent houses that are considered part of the city's cultural heritage and these are hence protected. This has caused the town centre and inner city to retain a small-town character.

I have just a few postcards from Norway, but all of them are great - that's why I am starting to love this amazing country. This postcard shows harbour of typical Norwegian town. Isn't it sooo charming?

While making this update, I realized that I have never received written and stamped postcard from Norway yet! I guess I should try to get it as soon as possible, lol. This postcard shows typical Norwegian landscape...it reminds me of northern part of Montenegro. :) Got this postcard in envelope from dear Sissel who sent me awesome cover with Eurovision Song Contest stamp issue from Norway. Dear Ana organized our swap. Thanks girls! :)
