The Birds & the bees are fighting

The birds and the bees are fighting...really. My lil hummingbirds can't seem to get to their feeder ,because the bees are always on the feeder. Yesterday, the bees attacked one of them. I don't know what to do. I looked up hummingbird feeders and I did everything I found to do from diluting the water more, changing the color of it, bringing the feeder in for a few days, relocating it in my yard,etc but nothing works....grrrr The bees just keep coming. I set out there yesterday with my fly swat and smashed everyone that came up on the porch, but it seemed every time I killed one that two more would come...grrrrr We can't find the nest and I'm sure we probably have more than one nest of them. It's so frustrating. Have any of you had this problem???? What did you do????

27.Have you ever been in an accident? Yes, several fender benders in the car,and a 4-wheeler wreck. Also, I got 2nd/3rd degree burns to my legs from a bonfire. I fell out of the back of a truck and busted my head and had to have stitches. I ran through some mud and stepped on a broken quart jar and cut my heal almost all the way off and had to have it sewed back on. I was my mom's accident prone child. Oh one more thing, I rolled in a car when I was a teen but I wasn't hurt...thank God!!!!!!!!

Do any of you have a family website? I have a family site that I started in 2004 for free with geocities , but I was told geocities is closing down next month and will no longer offer free web hosting. So now, I need to find a new host for my family website and I thought I would ask all of you. I really don't mind building a new site,because my other is so outdated, but I hate to see my old one go. Do any of you know a good reasonably priced host????

What is VBS?

I got this question earlier today, and I wanted to answer it. Each year we set aside one week for VBS. VBS stands for Vacation Bible School. It is a week pretty much set aside for kids...all kids. It's for kids in our church as well as the kids in our community. It's a week of learning & fun. It's a week, we try to reach as many kids as possible through the word of God (Bible). It is also an opportunity to meet the parents behind these kids in hopes they too will come to know God . We pick a theme to focus on. This years theme is "The Lighthouse" we are trying to show the kids how God is like a lighthouse. So every corner of our church is decorated with the lighthouse theme to add to the excitement. (I'll take pictures tonight to show you).
Each night we teach the kids a lesson through stories, crafts, etc that teaches them about God. After each lesson, we usually do a fun craft to go along with the lesson, and then we fellowship-which is basically meet, talk, and play together. We also feed the kids dinner each night. We use to just feed them snacks at the end of classes,but some parents didn't like the snack idea ,because we have VBS in the evenings and the kids would go home pumped up from their sugar intake, so now we feed them a good meal ,before classes start:)
All Baptist & Methodist churches around have this through out the summer months. So you can go to the other churches and join in on their week of fun & learning too. I'm not sure if other denominations have VBS ,but all Baptist & Methodists around here do.
The kids(and adults) have soooooo much fun ,but most important they learn about God and He is the reason why we do it:)

1) What topic would you write your book about?
Hmmm...you know me, It would probably be about kids. I love kids!!!!

2) What is one of your guilty pleasures?
Going out to eat and shopping to much:)

3) What are some of the things you do to get yourself out of a bad mood?
I clean house. My house is cleanest when I'm at my worst...It's true, just ask my hubby. If he makes me mad, I can clean this house from top to bottom in just a small amount of time.

4) How long do you think it will take to get the U.S. economy back on track?
I figure about 2-5 years

5) Do you think there is a fine line between creepy and romantic?
Hmmmm..... Creepy seems exact opposite of romantic to me. Creepy is the guy who sent me a myspace friend request the other day and shared his thoughts about me... Of course, I denied him and blocked him... Now that was creepy.
But, when Hubby & I went to the park the other day and he threw a blanket on the ground and we laid there listening to music and watching the stars, now that was simply romantic in my book:)

What Makes Me Happy?
1.Kids. I love kids!!!!!! I spend my day surrounded by kids:) I use to dream of growing up and having a house full of kids(which I did) and now that mine are getting older, I really enjoy my friend's kids/babies. I just think they are the closest thing to perfect here on earth:) I'll admit it, I am kinda like the little old lady who lived in a shoe:)

2.My family. I love my family dearly. My family is so precious to me. I thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful family. We can do everything or nothing at all together and still have a great time. I love being with them. They bring me so much joy.

4.My friends. I really love spending time with friends. Two of my friends came over yesterday and we had some of the best laughs just watching their kids and mine:) They are like family...we can do things together or not do anything at all ,but set and rock on the front porch and still have a great time:) I love that quote,"Friends are the family you choose for yourself"...Sometimes it seems your friends are there for you ,when your family's not.~~~~~
5. My church. I can go to church and regardless of how I feel when I enter, I come out feeling so blessed and loved!!! God is really working in our church and blessingso many lives:) I feel so blessed to be a part of the church that I'm a member of. I truly believe I'm just where God wants me to be. My church IS MY SECOND FAMILY. I love them and they love me...I'm blessed:)

6.Eating out. I love trying new foods:) I love when Hubby takes me on dates and we try new things together...it's fun!!! Fun=Happiness!!!

7.Being active. I love doing things and going places. I love being busy. I get bored easily and I consider it a waste of life to just set around and do nothing. I still have so much I want to see and do before my time is done, but when I do leave this world, all will be able to say, "Sandy lived every minute of her life ". 8. I saved the very best for last. My relationship with God is the one thing(above the others) that truly brings me the greatest joy of all. He loves me and knows me more than anyone else and the more I've learned about Him, has made me want to walk as closely as possible with Him and to live my life for Him. The happiness He brings to me can't be put in words or compared to anything else.. It's like that song "Drinking from my Saucer"...because my cup has overflowed:) If you've heard it then you know what I'm talking about. I just pray that everyone will have this relationship with Him at some point in their life...it truly is an amazing love.

I am wanting to create a photo blog for my photography and I'm trying to come up with a neat title for this blog. The new blog will just be an extension of this blog ( no, I'm not deleting this one). However the new blog will hold mostly pictures and tons of them, but very little writing...other than titles and labels on the pictures. Since I've been down here, I've taken tons of pictures and I'd love to share them all, but I don't want to put that many pictures on this blog. So I thought it might be time to create a new blog just for pictures.

I'm sure my daughter will have one pretty soon. She plans to try again in a couple of months...so we will see how that goes, plus Samantha will have one in the near future...I'm sure. I want a good camera

For some time now I've been wanting a good camera. I want one that is not very complicated and one that takes "clear" pictures in any lighting condition and of course I want it to be digital.
I am always looking through other people's pictures(I just love photography) and they are always so good and clear and that's what I want.
I have the everyday use camera, but you just never know what the pics are gonna look like and I hate that. I'll think on the little previewer that the pic looks good, but then when I pull it up on the computer it's blurry, or red-eyed, or something else, then I have to use my picture editing to make it as good as I can. However, I want my everyday pictures to be just as perfect and clear as if I was in the perfect light.
So tell me, which camera is best? I'm not really looking for a professional camera, just one to take lots of great pics of my kids:)

I would go to the ball park and let the kids play on the playground and I would walk the track. I've been trying to make time to walk atleast three times a week, and I love to walk on Saturday because I don't have as many kids to watch. However, that didn't work out today because when I got up it was cold and snowing...grrrr
