39 Week Bumpdate...

......and WE ARE STILL HERE!
By we, I mean Little Man is STILL cooking!
and this mommy is MiSeRaBlE!

Do not get me wrong, I have absolutely LOVED being pregnant and would do it a million times over to welcome our baby boy but ladies.... I AM SO READY! The past week has been ROUGH, and walking is quite hysterical.

Here we are at 39 weeks and 4 days!
We will be 40 weeks Tuesday....

Last week was an adventurous week to say the least. School started back for teachers, so my days were filled with training for a new math program we are adopting, meetings, and working in my classroom. We had a blood pressure scare Monday evening and spent the night in the hospital. My blood pressure has ran in the high 50s, low 60s (bottom #) my entire pregnancy. On Monday, thankfully I ran into my friend Jessica's grandmother's to check it and the bottom number was running in the high 90s. I rushed home and laid on my couch for 45 minutes and checked again and it was still in the 90s. I had a headache, blurry vision, waves of nausea, and my ankles had doubled in size so everything pointed to preclampsia. Something else that scared me was Gage was moving like never before, which I know it is a good thing he was moving, but it was not normal so it made me nervous. Nothing has gone even slightly wrong during my pregnancy, so this momma was pretty scared.
Once I got to the hospital they ran tests and monitored me. My blood pressure went back down but they found a little protein in my urine so they wanted to monitor me all night. We got checked out the next morning, by my best friend, Erica (who will be my nurse btw;) We left the hospital about 7:15 and I was determined to make it to my last day of AMSTI training to avoid having to make it up. Yes, the hubs dropped me off at the school and I was there until 4:30 that afternoon. They had given me a phenergan for nausea, so I was pretty out of it, but it gave my girls something to laugh about so I'll take it. :) They also stayed on me about taking my blood pressure every 2 hours and kept track of it.... Love my girls

Here is daddy staying at the hospital on his COMFY disgusting bed!
I made him put it as close as he could to my bed as possible! :)

I went back to the doctor on Monday and NOTHING had changed.... NOTHING, NADDA, ZERO! I go back tomorrow after school and we will discuss further plans. My doctor does not like going more than a week past your due date, due to weakening of the placenta, so I'm thinking we will be scheduling an induction. PRAY we have a little progress though!

I know this is a long post and I apologize I went missing last week...things should be back to normal this week. Pray for these next few days meeting my sweet kiddos goes well and smoothly. I will update you all tomorrow after my appointment!

Hope you had a BLESSED weekend!!

38 Week Bumpdate!

 38 Weeks!!
Image

Image

How Far Along?38 Weeks & 2 days today
Size of Baby P? 19 1/2 inches long!
This week's major developments:

Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.
Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)
(from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? Of course!
Weight Gain? 2 pounds this week! I think that pound I lost got excited last week and I ate a little too much this week! :) I measured my belly two days ago and we are now at 44 inches around! I have officially gained 20 inches in my belly! AHHHH!!!
Stretch Marks/belly button?Still hanging in there and belly button still flat...
Gender?DAVID "GAGE" PODY!
Sleep?Still struggling but I have started getting up, going to family room, watching HGTV & reading some blogs... :) Makes it easier than just staring at the ceiling! It is definitely harder to get comfortable because it takes a lot of energy to roll from side to side.
Food Cravings?
I cannot get enough of these yummies!
Every time I eat them I at least have to have 5 heated up for 11 seconds and if I have six it takes 12 seconds! Of course, a big glass of milk to finish it off is required! Delicious! (Yay, for sharing my very FIRST "recipe" on my blog...haha;)
Image
What I Miss?I'm just ready for him to be here!!!!! Looking forward to going "back-to-school" shopping when I shed the weight! Sounds crazy, but I have been feeling better this week than I have the past 2 weeks, full of energy... guess that's good because I think little man is feeling pretty good in there too! ;)
What I am loving? Having everything done! I am now trying to get some blog posts ready considering things are about to change around here!
Movement? He has really been working, but not hard enough obviously!

Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?
    • Meeting the pediatricians Monday night. The doctor I was seriously considering ended up doing the presentation! Lee liked her too, so I think we have made our final decision!
    • Enjoying my clean house and freshly planted flowers!
    • Getting my hair done was AMAZING!!
    • Classroom officially complete as well!
    • We went to the doctor today, and nothing, nadda, he is still enjoying baking!! Looks like it's just he and mommy for a while longer!  I go back to the doctor next Wednesday... we will see then! My doctor said she does not like going longer than a week after due date. At least I know I will meet him within 3 weeks... you will find me jogging  walking around the neighborhood tonight! :)
    Anxiously awaiting our buddy's arrival!
Hope you are having a BLESSED Thursday!

    37 Week Bumpdate!

    Image
    36 Weeks and 5 days!

    How Far Along?37 Weeks TODAY!
     Size of Baby P? A bit over 19 inches, 6 1/3 pounds
    This week's major developments:
Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)
Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.
    (from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? dresses, dresses, dresses! Most are actually not maternity but a bigger size!
Weight Gain?I lost a pound at my appointment today!! Still around 30!
Stretch Marks/belly button?Do not know how in the world my belly still does not have stretch marks but it doesn't! Belly button still flat!
    Gender?DAVID "GAGE" PODY!
Sleep?I had one night of full sleep that felt amazing last week, but back to my normal 3 hours spells!
Food Cravings?Pop tarts, heated, with butter! LOVING MILK... I can't get enough, which is weird considering it is 100 degrees outside!
What I Miss? Not constantly sweating! Humidity in BAMA is terrible, pregnant or not!
What I am loving? At our doctors appointment today we got to do an ultrasound to see if he was in position! He is ready!! He weighed around 7 pounds and my belly is measuring two weeks ahead now! He still had his hands in his face and trying to get that thumb in his mouth! He even had hair!!! I could not believe it... Lee and I both have very fine hair but she said he has it (at least on the back of his head...haha). I am still dilated a fingertip but she said thinned more.... thankful for a great doctors appointment!
Movement? Definitely... he is really working right now as I am typing! He also gets the hiccups a couple times a day and they last for 10 minutes! I think he gets "hard hiccups" like his mommy;)

Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?
    • Seeing our little buddy again!
    •  Completing our TO-DO list!
    • ALMOST getting my classroom prepared for my maternity leave.
    • Enjoying my summer;)
    Have a BLESSED Evening!

    36 Week Bumpdate! (WOW)

    Image
Excuse this pic... we just woke up from our Sunday nap and I remembered my bump picture!
Here we are 35 Weeks and 5 Days!

How Far Along?36 weeks TODAY!! (Cannot believe I just typed that!!)
Size of Baby P? crenshaw melon (these people kill me!)
    This week's major developments:
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.
At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
    (from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? Of course! and Lee's t-shirts (which he says I am stretching;)
Weight Gain?About 30 pounds... not gaining as much now, maybe I'm FINALLY reaching my peak!!
Stretch Marks/belly button?Do not know how in the world my belly still does not have stretch marks but it doesn't! Applying lotion and oil religiously! Belly button still flat!
    Gender?Momma's BOY!
Sleep?Continuing my 3-4 hours nightly ceiling stares!
Food Cravings?Milkshakes are still up there.... along with Milo's!
What I Miss? I have really been missing working out lately. I am excited to get back into a routine! Got my pinterest workout pinned and ready!!
What I am loving? Going to the doctor weekly.... I know that is strange, but it's exciting to see his progress. This time we were dilated a fingertip.... Never heard it put like that but we'll take it!
Movement? I think he thinks my cervix is a trampoline!haha It is a nightly thing that lasts hours!

Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?

    • I have really been focusing my attention on getting my classroom prepared for my sub. It is ALMOST there! It is such a big job preparing for the year, but definitely worth it because things go much smoother the rest of the year! I am trying to get ahead and have everything together and organized so I can get home to my baby boy as quick as possible!
    • We are going to "Meet the Doctors" night at Birmingham pediatrics the first week in August. I am a little mad at myself for not doing this sooner, but looking forward to that and I have my questions prepared:)
    • Everything is officially marked off my baby list except installing the carseat (which will happen Friday) and building the highchair (of course not needed at first).
    • Hospital bags are ready and Mr. Pody even had a Hospital Bag 101 training last night along with a How to Operate the New Video Camera course!
    • Of course, a deep cleaning is about to take place around the Pody Household after a little fat, furry, gray cat gets groomed tomorrow!
I have some extras I would like to complete (my to-do lists are never ending by the way, I've been a list maker since I could write;) like planting new flowers in our front pots and finding a camera bag for my Nikon! But other than that....
WE ARE READY FOR OUR LITTLE MAN!!!!

    HAVE A BLESSED EVENING!

Stay tuned for a couple of fun posts planned for this week!

    34 Week Bumpdate!

    Image
     34 Weeks & 4 days

    Image
     34 Weeks & 5 days

How Far Along? We are 34 Weeks and 5 days!!!
     Size of Baby P? cantaloupe
    This week's major developments:
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.(from www.babycenter.com)
    Maternity Clothes? Of course!
Weight Gain? Going to doctor tomorrow (Monday)!
     Stretch Marks/belly button?Same
    Gender?Momma's BOY!
Sleep?Still waking up 3 hours a night! Thank goodness I'm a teacher and can sleep in a little!
Food Cravings?I am loving milkshakes! Chik-Fil-A and Jacks are my favorite!
What I Miss? Everyone asks if I am miserable, and honestly I'm not. Of course, my belly is HUGE but I definitely would not say miserable. And the heat hasn't been as bad as I imagined, probably because I do not stay outside for long periods of time. Luckily, no swelling yet!
What I am loving? How many things we have marked off of our TO-DO list! Our list is almost complete and daddy is even doing some extra things around the house!
Movement? Yes and often jabs me in my bladder, almost making me fall to the floor. I am feeling a lot of pressure down low. Sill no Braxton Hicks at all (IS THIS NORMAL?!? )

Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?

      32 Week Bumpdate!

      32 Weeks and 5 Days
      Image
      Image
How Far Along? WE ARE 32 WEEKS! (33 weeks Tuesday!)
Size of Baby P? Large Jicama (whatever!?)
      This week's major developments:
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.
      (from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? Definitely... and Lee's t-shirts;)
Weight Gain? Going to Dr. tomorrow to see how much damage I did on the week long beach trip!
       Stretch Marks/belly button?Same
      Gender?Momma's BOY!
Sleep? My new hours of the night to be WIDE AWAKE is about 1-3:30! It's fabulous!:)
Food Cravings?None really, just eating a lot... still suffering from acid reflux a lot after I eat.
      What I Miss?
What I am loving? This third trimester hair! I guess Jesus made it that way so when you feel like a whale, you at least have pretty hair! :)
Movement? Still rolling and flipping... Lee even asked, "Are babies supposed to move this much??"

Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?
      • We went on our last beach trip for the summer and actually our last rip before our little monkey arrives! We had a blast! Gage does not like laying out and getting hot. He wiggles and rolls so I stayed under the tent most of the time!
      • The last night at the beach we noticed my feet were slightly swollen and the bottom of them felt like they were bruised. Hurt so bad. They feel better now but still slightly swollen.
      • My back has really been hurting lately. Hard to get comfortable and I can't sit long. Start feeling like a knife is stabbing me!
      • I am really marking things off my list this week! Some things I plan on completing are:
            • Pack hospital bag/ Walmart trip for a few final hospital items
            • Finish washing his last items
            • Finish organizing his closet

How Far Along? I am now 31 weeks pregnant!!!
Size of Baby P? 16 inches long and 3.3 pounds
      This week's major developments:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
      (from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? Maxi dresses are still my favorite!
Weight Gain? UMMMM.... at my appointment I am now up 25 pounds!! and a long way to go! He is measuring a week ahead though;).... I'm definitely getting the pregnant face and nose....

      25-26 Week Bumpdate!

      Image

      Image

       25 Weeks & 5 Days

      How Far Along? Weeks 25 & 26
Size of Baby P? English Hothouse Cucumber (ok?!?)
      This week's major developments:
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
      (from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? Still loving dresses and maxi dresses!
Weight Gain? Feeling big lately, I think I've put on a few pounds since last Dr's appointment!

Sleep?Still waking up for hours most nights... maybe 2 nights a week I am sleeping and only waking up to use the potty!

What I Miss? I am having acid reflux every time I eat and it kicks into high gear at night! TUMS are by my bed!
What I am loving? Preparing for little man's arrival!
Movement? Starting to see his feet and hands poke through even more! Feeling him roll a lot!

       23 Weeks and 5 days
(Forgot to take 24 week pic w/ my sticker.... so sad! That's what I get for nesting and organizing so much I couldn't see them!)

How Far Along?23 weeks and 5 days
Size of Baby P? Ear of Corn
      This week's major developments:
Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

      22 Week Bumpdate!

      Image

How Far Along? 22 Weeks and 5 Days
Size of Baby P? Spaghetti squash(11 inches)
      This week's major developments:
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment.
If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.
      (from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? Yes, still wearing a few of my "normal" shirts, but mostly maternity!
Weight Gain? I go to the doctor Tuesday (May 1st) so we will see!! On my scale I have lost 3 pounds due to things that do not need to be discussed over the internet;) My next appointment will be the dreaded GLUCOSE TEST! I finally measured my belly again and I had gained 11 inches! He's ALL IN THE FRONT!! :)
Stretch Marks/belly button? No stretch marks but belly button is totally flat now...
      Gender? David GAGE Pody ;)
Sleep? Still waking up from about 2:30 to 5 :( I know, I know... "JUST WAIT UNTIL THAT BABY GETS HERE!" I get it, but I would love to "train" myself to be able to fall back asleep after each feeding and not lay staring at the ceiling for 3 hours. I've never had this much trouble falling back to sleep, guess it's a pregnancy thing!
Food Cravings?Still loving Popsicles, especially the push pops in PINK!
What I Miss? Still loving pregnancy...I guess I should say I miss my sleep, but honestly I'm not that tired during the day so I won't complain anymore!;)
What I am loving? Still loving preparing for our little man and marking things off of my endless "BEFORE BABY'S ARRIVAL LIST." (It has a back too;)

      Image

Movement? He's a flipper, roller, puncher, and kicker! And I love every minute of it....

Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?
      •  Well, I ended up canceling my crib order from restoration hardware after I found something else. I just couldn't risk it not arriving ON TIME! Below, is daddy and Poppy unloading it out of Poppy's new truck he purchased for Gage to ride in!;)

      Image

Luckily, I married a man who has the same personality as myself, "Let's get it done and get it done now!" Daddy assembled the crib bright and early the next morning!

      IN OTHER BABY NEWS:
      •  We are waiting on the painter to come look at the room, since mommy has to have something special on one wall, imagine that.
      • I found a rocker/glider that FOR ONCE is not $1,000 dollars! I am excited and going to order it SOON!
      • I also found a rug on shadesoflight.com and hope to order it soon!
      • His baby book arrived and I will share it very soon. It turned out perfect!
      • His bedding also arrived. Of course, it will be revealed once the nursery is complete!
      • We are on the search for a coming home outfit as well! Any suggestions are welcome;)
      • Looking to schedule our parenting class and breastfeeding class during the summer!
      • Going to get a 4-D Ultrasound soon as well. Trying to make it to about 28 weeks but I am so ready to see him again!! Our insurance only pays for one at the beginning and the other at 20 weeks, so mommy needs to see that sweet face again very soon! :)
      • First baby shower MAY 5TH so very excited about that! :)
I guess that's all for now!

How Far Along? 20 Weeks 5 Days (Sunday, April 8, 2012
Size of Baby P? Banana (6 1/2 inches)
      This week's major developments:
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
      (from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? Yep! :) Trying to find a baby shower dress now!
Weight Gain? 11 pounds... I will know how much more May 1st at my next appointment.
Stretch Marks/belly button? No stretch marks but belly button still half & half.
      Gender? BOY! BOY! BOY!
Sleep? Frequent restroom breaks and most nights still waking up for 3 hours and guess who is just a wiggling about an hour of it?? Little man! I think he has his nights and days mixed up! UH OH....
Food Cravings?None really, I am loving air head pop sickles and twirl pop sickles which have many flavors!
What I Miss? Still loving pregnancy...
What I am loving? Finally being able to buy and prepare for our little one! We have a name which I will share at a later date!
Movement? Oh yeh, he moves throughout the day and at night! Best feeling in the world!
Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?
      • I have purchased his crib from restoration hardware as well as his bedding! The bedding should be here around April 15th and I am a little upset b/c it said his bed should arrive ON OR BEFORE July 22nd!! That is TOO close to his arrival. So I am calling today to see exactly what that means.... I really don't want to have to cancel the order!
      • I also ordered his baby book from etsy, RUBY LOVE. I am so excited about it and will post pictures when it arrives!
      • We got some baskets and a few goodies for little man's room this weekend!
      • I FINALLY got my camera ordered! It should be here tomorrow! Nikon D3100, so I will be able to capture memories and finally take pics of our home to share!
      • I also ordered a few items and used a promo code from PARENTING magazine and only had to pay shipping! I new it was too good to be true but it worked! I ordered a car seat canopy, nursing cover, and  sling for when he's a little older. If you would like the promo codes let me know:)
      • Got a few things marked off my LOOONG never ending list!!

This is the best Easter picture we captured...

How Far Along? 19 Weeks and 5 days
Size of Baby P? Large Heirloom Tomato (Just over 6 inches)
      This week's major developments:
Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
      (from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? All maternity pants, I am still wearing my regular shirts but also maternity shirts.
Weight Gain? At my 19 week appointment I have gained 11 pounds since my 6 weeks appointment. She assured me I am right on track!
Stretch Marks/belly button? None but my belly button is half in half out...
Gender? Bring on the dirt, football, and four-wheelers!! It's a knucklehead little BOY!!
Sleep?Still waking up often to go to the restroom... Also waking up for about an hour to 3 hours in the middle of the night. Guess that's my body preparing me for mommyhood!
Food Cravings?Nothing really sounds great to me anymore... making decisions to go out to eat is getting harder. AND the thought of Firebird's makes me want to puke! Crazy, I know.... Makes me a little sad:(
What I Miss? Nothing, SO FAR I love being pregnant!
What I am loving? My growing belly and calling the baby a HE now, instead of IT!
Movement? We have a little wiggle worm! At night I can feel him ALOT! And Lee even got to feel him Saturday night (3/31/12) I can explain some movements at flutters, a twitching eye, gentle taps, but they are now getting a little stronger. He moves mostly when I eat and when I lay down at night!
Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?
      • Going to the doctor on March 26th to see our little man in action. He was very cooperative and everything looked great! He is even measuring a little ahead at 10 ounces instead of 8! (Side note: I was 10 pounds 5 ounces when born and Lee was 9 pounds 3 ounces when born. So we have been warned!:) His heart rate was still quickly beating at 161 bpm. He gave us some great shots! It was the most exciting day! I will never forget how hard my heart was pounding as she was looking all around and said, "Ok, yall ready?!" I don't know why you get so anxious but I was so anxious! I never want to forget Lee's face when we found out it was a BOY! He is usually very reserved and stands back at appointments, but this time he was right in front of the screen asking question and question!
      • We also went Saturday (3/31/12) to register at BUYBUYBABY and Babies R'Us! It was SO much fun picking out everything! Lee of course was in charge of the scanner. Mimi and Aunt Lynie had to join us to help with decisions! I get overwhelmed easily at things like this, so having them there as support is always great! Our first baby shower is May 5th!
      • I have really been looking at cribs and other necessities for his room. Hopefully ordering the bed this week sometime! For the record, there IS cute boy stuff you just have to dig a little harder!;) I am ready to get our next project started!
      • Over spring break we didn't end up going on our trip but we got SOO much done to our house! It worked out great. We got our back yard sodded and pretty plants planted! The outdoor furniture ordered, delivered, and decor bought to complete the covered deck! My new curtains hung in the master bedroom. A bench for the front of our bed. A rug for the keeping room. And many more projects complete that needed to be done before our baby boy comes! We have a couple of things left on the list but NOW MOST OF THE FOCUS IS ON HIM!
      • I need to get his baby book ordered, anyone have suggestions on where I can find a unique one feel free to let me know!

      **Sorry such a long post:)**

      Have a BLESSED day!
