We are implementing key initiatives to address public health challenges, including the opioid crisis. These efforts also offer procurement opportunities to expand access and improve addiction services. Together, they represent a coordinated approach to enhance services and supports statewide.

Key Initiatives Funding Opportunities in NYS

Recovery Friendly Workplace Tax Credit
Removing Stigma from the Workplace

This first-of-its-kind program supports the employment of people in recovery, as well as the reduction or elimination of addiction stigma in the job market and workplace.

Eligible employers can apply to receive up to $2,000 of tax credit per employee in recovery for the current tax year, and/or the year immediately prior.

Applications for tax credits can be submitted at any time during the year, but not later than January 15 of the following year. OASAS staff can help walk you through the process.
