Caption - Have you 'herd'?

I'm truly amazed with the captions received last week.
I enjoy them very much and I hope you do too.

Image

Rosie :  Have you "Herd" that there's a queue forming for jumping over the moon?
(Rosie, I'm borrowing your idea for the title.)

Rainfield : Oh wait!!! Nancy is not yet here.
(Rainfield, Nancy is here; the second one from the right. Yeah, her face can't be seen.)

Milka : 1 Malaysia.
(Captions was suggested by Milka's little girl. I wonder if she saw multiple races?)

Kala : Moo do you think you're looking at?!

"And if you look to our left, you'll see a perfect example of the American tourist with an iPhone!"

"It's very nice, but we really were looking for something closer to town, not the range.

One : That's the Calfetaria, over on the left.

Caption - Tales of a Tail

A very BIG thank you to everyone who have commented and participated in Caption Fun last week.
To all those who said they were not good at captions, hidden talent has been discovered.

Image

Some introduction:

Clifford : Black
Goldee : Not Black

Clifford : Son
Goldee : Mom

Below is what Goldee said:

P3Chandan : "Stop bugging me, you are ruining my hair!"

Rosie : "Stop tailgating."

Let's hear it from Clifford :

Andrea : "Tell me the truth. Am I really adopted?"

Fishtail Cottage : "Mom, don't forget about me."

Malar : "I'm not letting you go until you tell me why I'm black."

Donna of GWGT : "Give me some tail."

One : Clifford said with reference to the tail, "Give me back my furry blankie!"

I hope you have enjoyed the above captions as much as I do.

Cattle on the Highway

Image

It's interesting to watch the symbiotic relationship between cattle and birds.
As the cattle graze, birds look out for insects which are being disturbed.

Image

Although there were grass everywhere, these cattle found the grass in the middle of the highway the moo-st palatable.

Image

It is possible that these cattle were already grazing here before the infrastructure was built about 5 years ago.

Image

I would very much like to take close-up shots of birds perching on the cows, looking for ticks.
Unfortunately it wasn't an ideal place to be taking photos, nor to be having a meal in the first place.
Oncoming cars slowed down.
Someone even wound down the window and said something.
I can't be sure if he was talking to me or the cows.
I just hope no one took out the camera and snapped of me.

I'll be back for moo-re photos!

Who Like Weeds?

I've just been to GardenWalkGardenTalk and discovered that she likes weeds.
You would like them too if you have weeds like hers.
More and more people are loving weeds, admiring what other creatures of nature have been attracted to all these while.

Image

Image

This is a weed loving butterfly.

Image

Image

Insects love to hang around wild flowers.
Some are there to drink nectar.
Some are lurking around to capture those that are out for a drink.
Others might just be romancing.

Image

Goldee loves weeds. I often find her eating them.
Some people says that dog eat grass or weeds when they don't feel well.
Goldee definitely doesn't look ill to me.
She probably likes the fiber and nutrition that comes with weeds.

Who else love weeds?

Good Fortune

A neighbour walking his dog, stopped by a few minutes ago, to tell us that it is a very good omen to have a dog giving birth to only one puppy. According to the old folks, it is believed that the owners will enjoy good fortune. Many Chinese are rather superstitious people.

Below are some of the Omens of Good Fortune extracted from WOFS.com:

Meeting Up With A Cow
Image
It is said to be a most auspicious sign as the cow is a symbol of prosperity and fertility. Of course this is not something likely to happen in big cities except perhaps in India where the cow is so highly revered it is allowed to roam freely on roads and highways and motorists are required by law not to run them down. But if you do take a drive to the countryside one day and are confronted by a cow, rejoice, because it suggests great good fortune coming your way!

When A Dog Comes To Stay
Image
When someone brings you a dog as a gift or if a stray puppy decides to adopt you, welcome him or her into your home. A dog entering your home is a very favourable sign, as it means you will have faithful and sincere friends come into your life, helping you overcome obstacles of all kinds. Black dogs bring wealth and protection. Golden dogs bring prosperity and happiness and white dogs bring love and romance.

Garden Creatures That Bring Good Fortune
Image
Include insects and grasshoppers. If a grasshopper were to hop into your house, it means a very distinguished person is about to visit you. It can also mean that you are about to receive a great honour. Ladybirds suggest visitors, while frogs jumping into your home suggest money is coming to you.
