Baileys first time in the snow

It wasn't much, but it happened.

What is it mum?

Oooooh I can eat it.

 

Gothic Arch Gate

 

Painted a gate arch with black gesso and then laid some resin and metal embellishments down.

Glued it all down and then painted everything in black gesso.

Then used my new to me, chameleon pigments from Resin-Pro.

They seemed to be mainly green based.

Then a bit of pinky, purple became visible.

And then more purple.

Depends which way the light is shining.

Just lightly dusted the back of the arch.

And lastly just to give an idea of the depth.

First Time at Bradley Woods

 

Camouflaged!

Running around the paths.

Having a whale of a time in and out of the dips and mounds.

When we got home he flaked out.

He made it all the way there and back without being sick. 

I know it's not far but it was a result for us all.

Having a Brush

 

He's not that excited about being brushed!

We are getting there though.

Bribery with a few treats.

But he does like it up there as he can see out of the window.

But he'd much rather have his feet on the ground and be looking out the patio window.

Gothic Style Shaker Plaque

After watching a 'free' youtube video class by the lovely Anna aka Finnabair, I made this.

A shaker plaque made from recycled wood and a plastic dome.

The bat looked a bit plain so I added a rub on.

Decorated Glass Skull

 

I picked up a glass skull from, I think, HobbyCraft, but it was a while ago.

I came across it whilst I was looking for something else.

I gave it a coat of glass paint and then black gesso.

I then painted one half in purple and the other half in blue.

The purple side.

The blue side.

The cork comes out and the skull can be filled if required.

And finally this is the back.

Trust In Rust Challenge

 

I collected all these pieces of rust over a few days by picking them up out of the gutter on our doggie walks.

Next I started to play around with some of the pieces.

I covered the canvas with patterned papers.

Added some clear crackle.

Once fully dry I smeared some burnt sienna over the crackle so it would sink in the gaps.

Then for the next coat I used carmine in the Finnabair range.
