I can't believe how fast this year has gone. It feels that it literally flew by. It was a great year. Recap time:
January: we started the year in Nebraska with my parents. We rung in the new year, I got the stomach flu on my birthday and mom and me crafted 24/7 (in our jammies).
Also, we found out our library cards are magical and went to the New England Aquarium. We were in awe the whole time.
February: Scott surprised me by setting up a sweet and romantic dinner for Valentine's Day. Sweetest husband ever. We also bought our first couch which was quite an exciting day.
March: We started exploring our lovely city, Boston and learned that we love it. We had a wonderfully warm day and had our first beach day here in the northeast. We went to Bunker Hill for the first time and learned more about American history. I flew out to Las Vegas for my nephew, Ty's, baptism and my dad's surprise birthday party. It was a highlight of my year most definitely. So much family, so much food, so much dancing, so much fun.
April: We started the month off experimenting with delicious chinese food and Scott grew a mustache.
Easter, we celebrated with great friends, eating a delicious lunch, and dyed Easter eggs. We discovered Mount Auburn Cemetery. Its beauty and charm are unmatched. We learned Spring in New England is pretty much better than anywhere else.
We watched the Boston Marathon which was absolutely magical and amazing and made me teary eyed. We also, started going to estate sales and made wonderful friends.
May: I finished my first year of my Dental Hygiene program and we started seedlings for our little garden. We celebrated Mother's Day with burritos, compliments of Scott, and roses. One of the highlights of my year, Rachael, Dan, and Jude came to Boston and visited for a week. It was the most wonderful visit with my favorite people.
June: We kicked summer off by planting our garden and refinishing our kitchen chairs. We went to Cheers, the restaurant in Quincy Market, and were disappointed but finished our night off by finding a sweet little nook of downtown Boston, all our own. I made a new necklace with friends.
Probably the best news we had all year, Scott got a job! The best blessing ever. We are still in awe of how watched over we are by our Father in Heaven. We discovered Walden Pond. Literally the best swimming I've ever done. I can't wait to go back this summer. We went and picked strawberries with friends which was wonderful and delicious. Of course, we built a fort in our living room.
July: We started this month with a celebration dinner and candlepin bowling with Kyle and Russanne to celebrate Scott's first week of his new job. I went to the Cambridge Stake Girl's Camp over the 4th of July as a camp counselor. It was exhausting and so much fun. I loved it!
One of my favorite days of the year, our mini vacation packed into one day, Nauset Beach. We explored and ate, and sunbathed, it was a glorious day.
Per usual we got Mike's Pastry's canolli's, but this time to celebrate one of my very best friend, Russanne's birthday. Also, we did lots of cartwheels.
One of the most rewarding things of the summer was planting and babying our little garden. It was so much fun! Not to mention, we made friends with our sweet gardener neighbors next door on both sides and behind us. Gardening will do that for ya!
August: I started August off in Nebraska with my parents. Mom and me did crafts and then we ventured over to Jackson Hole, WY for the semiannual James Family Reunion, which is always a hit.
Mom and me got crafty, per usual. Nicki, Mckay, and Kenna came to visit us here in Boston. We did all sorts of tourist things and ate yummy food. We loved them visiting! We went to our first Red Sox game which was actually really fun. And, I canned by myself for the first time-tomatoes and green enchilada sauce. A success if I do say so myself.
September: We celebrated the best decision I've ever made in my life, marrying Scott David Keller. Our 3 year anniversary was spent eating at Giacomo's (we still talk about how delicious that meal was) and canolli's.
October: Dad and Judy came to visit! Although, I was in the thick of it with school, Scott was able to show them around town and on the weekend we went to Kennebunkport Maine, one of the most beautiful towns we've visited while living out here.
The weekend before Hurricane Sandy, my parents were supposed to visit, but said hurricane made it so they couldn't. SO, we went sight seeing around Newburyport, MA and had fun just us two.
November: hard at work in school (ie-lots of studying, hanging with my best friends and giving/receiving injections)
We also went to Utah for Kathryn's Wedding and Thanksgiving, which were both so wonderful!! It's the best being with family.
December: I made wreaths with some of my best girly friends and we had a sad little going away party for Kyle and Russanne. Jon and Becca came to visit which was so much fun!! We saw the Nutcracker Christmas eve and spent Christmas just the 2 of us. A wonderful first Christmas just the two of us.
I seriously can't believe 2012 is almost over and 2013 is on its way so quickly!!! I've truly loved this last year but am so excited for the changes and new beginnings 2013 bring. I know it's going to be a great year!!

Christmas
We spent Christmas just us two and it was absolutely perfect! Christmas eve after The Nutcracker matinee, we came home and started dinner. It was a feast! Turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, green bean casserole, rolls, and gravy. It was seriously delicious! After dinner, we had our annual scavenger hunt. I got Scott some new sweatpants, and Scott surprised me with leopard Victoria Secret pajamas!! I couldn't believe he'd gone to VS by himself and picked out the cutest pj's ever!!! We pulled our mattress out into the living room so we could be comfy while we stuffed each other's stockings and watched MistleTones on our brand new TV!!

Christmas morning, we woke up, turned the crackling fireplace on the TV and opened gifts. It was so much fun!! We ate Santa pancakes and watched Christmas movies all day with skype breaks to family in between. It was a perfect Christmas weekend!

The Nutcracker
On Christmas Eve, we went to see The Nutcracker at the Boston Opera House. We had initially went to the wrong ballet house and with 30 minutes to show-time, we were a 20 minute train ride away. We caught a cab and made it just in time to catch our seats. The show was completely phenomenal. Halfway through the show, it started snowing on stage. Glittery white snow and I cried because it was so beautiful! The dancers and the music and the venue were so perfect! We loved every second of it.

Visitors
Jon, Becca, Abigail, and Daniel (Scott's sister) came to visit the weekend before Christmas! It was so much fun! We played games, ate delicious food, made gingerbread houses, and went downtown to see Christmas lights. We loved having them here!!
