I'm dreading the day when my kids won't be interested in sitting on Santa's lap anymore. This year, they sat on Santa's lap 3 times - at the Galloping Grace Christmas Corral, at the church Christmas party, and after getting off the Polar Express in Durango! (The polar express deserves its own post though.)
(I have a professional shot of our whole family here in Durango with Santa. I'll have to load it sometime.)
This year, the girls each asked for a big thing. They have never done that before. Their lists, as usual, were very short, but very purposeful. Grace asked for an electric guitar and a REAL dragon egg. She thinks it would be great fun to raise a dragon from a baby and keep it as a pet. We were very interested to see what Santa would do about that. Harriet asked for a "Barbie dream house" meaning a very large doll house that barbies could fit in and a pink doll stroller. She is tired of using the blue one she inherited from Grace.
If only life could be as simple as this all the time.
