We went to the doctor's office for our routine visit yesterday and everything went great. The baby is measuring right on target and has a really strong heart-beat. The doctor said that her frequent hiccups are a great sign that her diaphragm has developed properly. We have a longer visit next time (7/11) because they are going to do an exam to see if Summer has started dilating, etc. At that time, he will also tell us if the baby is definitively in position (e.g. breech or not). Right now, he said it looks like she is head-down, but slightly off center. We also discussed some of the specifics on our birth plan and he was receptive to all of our thoughts. He reinforced that his main goals were to have 1) A healthy mom and baby and 2) for the birth to be an enjoyable experience for all of us. So, our main goal for the next few weeks is to continue to monitor the baby's movements & kicks and for Summer to eat up!
Thank you for your continued prayers and support....just 7 more weeks to go!
